WOW I HADN'T ACTUALLY CONSIDERED THIS A POSSIBILITY.

Okay, so, basically Zatanna's opinion of her is that she trusts Evandau far more than she trusts the Emperor, and pretty much everything that's happened on the turtle since--including the Emperor traumatizing one of her bffs--pushes her further over to Evandau's side. She sympathizes and feels sorry for her for everything that she's been through and genuinely wants to help. She's just not always sure how. There's the cell phone, but there's been surprisingly little interaction since. And it's the waiting that's getting to her.

Aside from that, taking the Empror out of the equation, she almost liked their brief conversation. Eva was another magic user who obviously studied different methods and "trusted" her enough to not only give her a pendent, but test her to figure it out for herself. This alone earns her interest, and she wishes they could've spent more time talking about magic.
