Zatanna really is becoming a little sister to Kyle. He likes being around her and he appreciates her trust when she chooses to give it. He's aware she's one of the most capable magicians he's ever met, but he's also aware that this Zatanna isn't quite there yet. He doesn't want to give her orders (because ha ha ha like she'll ever follow them), so he's still working out a system of getting her to listen to his concerns about her relative inexperience, while still impressing upon her that he has faith in her skill.

One day he should tell her that he learnt Er'ouy daed taem from other her, and never, ever talk about Identity Crisis.

Her taking orders = depends upon the situation. She can be serious and listen if it's a dire situation, or at least be willing to consider his suggestions. Sometimes.

If he ever tells her about the Er'ouy daed taem spell, she'll laugh and ask how many times the other her must've said it to him for him to learn.

If he ever even begins to mention Identity Crisis...WHELP. /ollies out. ~~not like the archer~~

Kyle's met a few spirits in his time and Jack's definitely the coolest. He'll be dropping by to check up on Jack or just to chill ~~see what I did there~~. And they do need to discuss the whole 'we both fought creepy fear-based enemies' because that will bring them closer together, not just as dorks, but also as heroes.

Inara is ~~mind-bogglingly pretty~~ from space! Like him! He's intrigued. The way she speaks about the people who know her makes him think they're worth knowing too, and that he might enjoy meeting them and swapping stories.

They need to talk about this thing, I feel, if he can get over his shyness.

~~Costigan you're a Bat; Bats and Lanterns don't mix~~. Kyle thinks Costigan's gone through something pretty awful to make him that shifty and paranoid, he doesn't mind giving the man some space but he's also not going to pull any punches if there's BS. He may not be very perceptive about body language but he knows people's emotions, and he knows what to do that might help them become more healthy.
