open dream wandering plot thing

Firstly, I'm back from hiatus and, unfortunately, have dropped Billy Costigan. But that's mostly because I want to focus on Penny, so moving on.

Penny is a psychic who can enter into peoples' dreams. He's been working with Zatanna on sporadic nights over the last few weeks to try to reach out to Asti or the baby turtles. While he may eventually reach them, in the meantime, he'll be wandering in and out of other peoples' dreams (kedan and foreigners alike), either being forcefully ejected right away or sticking around to hang out for awhile (and mock whoever's dreaming -- wouldn't be his first time in a sex dream -- or hang out and help them out).

I'm going to be putting up an open log soon. If you'd like for Penny to enter your character's dream, please comment and we can plot something out (for the log or hand-waved, either way!), or let me know that he would be completely unable to enter (if your character has mental blocks). You're also welcome to have your character see Penny briefly flash through their dreams if you want to mention it in game.

Uhh, any questions, please feel free to ask. I don't normally do things like this, so I have no clue what I'm doing, hahaha.

While you're here, please fill out Penny's permissions if you haven't already. Because he's psychic.

If Penny recognized them as Sherlock's, he'd walk right out again because he gets enough of Sherlock in the daylight, hahaha. But feel free to have Sherlock notice Penny randomly appearing and disappearing a few times.

We could play out something with Moriarty if you wanted to or had something specific in mind, or I'm good to keep it vague if you'd prefer?

Well. Valdis doesn't really dream, but he can totally wander through a dreamlike state that she does when she meditates. It will probably involve the Void though.

Oh god, he wouldn't see the souls. Short version: The Void is a giant, seven headed serpent who is basically possessing Valdis. She meditates and talks with it occasionally, not that most of her friends actually know that. The Void is the embodiment of sin and corrupted her angelic magic into what it is today.

Ohhhhh. Also interesting! He would definitely ask her about it if he saw her talking to it, but if you're cool with that, I think that could be really cool.

Oh man, I'm happy to sign up for this! I've only got Raine for now, but she could still be interesting. Especially given how she and Penny have interacted before.

Also I have like nothing planned for May and I'd like to keep up the CR with Penny.

Yes definitely! I'm down for whatever. Because it's dreams, it could always be something totally random.. like dreaming of Solomon or swimming in shark infested waters or trying Dust or whatever. xD

I might give Penny the traumatic splintered childhood flashback of (oh no i'm drowning and terrified), depending. or Solomon, because those dreams are on the mundanely heartbreaking side. She dreams of it being her world, only with certain people there with her. A normal day, only she's gone home and gotten to keep the family she adopted here with her.

Any prefs between those options?

I'd be cool with either one! I'm leaning slightly toward Solomon because he already saw some of her traumatic past, but I'm genuinely totes okay with the other too if you think it would benefit their CR more. c:

Miles pretty much has constant nightmares so if Penny wants to see some fucked up shit then that's up to you :V

Aly's dreams would be interesting, because she usually hops realms when she's dreaming and now she can't, so she's dreaming up places she's been and knows they're dreams and she gets pissed, haha

Miles it kind of depends. Penny would bounce pretty quickly unless he saw Miles immediately and it was clear that Miles needed help. Then he might hang around a little.

If you want, Danny has a dreamwalking ability. If Penny shows up in one of his dreams, he might just think hes been accidentally doing that again.

Otherwise, Conan probably has some worrying dreams he could pop into.

Heather's dreams involve memories. Like, actual things that happened to her, in her past. It's how she deals, really, so historical times are always an option.

Brigid dreams of running as a wolf. And ssshhh, no one can know, but of being Alpha of her Pack. So, those are options. Or, Penny can step into one of Heather's psychedelic dreams of color and floating on opium and absinthe.
