Aly chewed her lip, thinking. The Otherside had rules, but not many. It was entirely possible that she'd been drawn to this strange city against her will. And she still felt like she was Otherside. A quick glance at herself confirmed it - leather armor, a copper mace hanging from her belt, and a drab green cloak with a ruff of white fur about her shoulders, held together with a clasp in the shape of a red maple leaf.
She didn't like this. Luckily she still had an escape route. She reached her hand out into the air, turned her wrist, and pulled.
Nothing.
She tried again. Nothing. She let her eyes drift shut, trying not to panic. She could still see all of her lines, but they faded out into nothingness. Even the line she could feel in her hand, the one that connected her to the forest to which she had a land tie.
She didn't like this. Not one bit.
"What the hell is this place?" she asked nobody in particular, trying not to sound agitated.
