Hi all! I'm mi, brand new to the game despite glancing at it...forever.

I'm finally here, bringing this super soldier by the name of Steve Rogers. If you don't know, he was a skinny kid from Brookyln who just wanted to be a soldier so badly that when someone whispered, "pssst. try this serum, it'll make you big and strong and probably won't kill you" from a dark alley, he said "sure, why not?"
After that he became known as Captain America, took an ice nap for about 70 years, woke up in the 21st century, and has been saving the world against various threats ever since with the help of his other hero buddies, the Avengers.

I'm taking him from Age of Ultron, near the end where he's having a very serious conversation with Natasha about not leaving the steadily rising Sokovia.

Hi mi, I'm Pur! I'm one of the modlies and I play Solomon Wreath here, who's a blind necromancer, and Anton Shudder (gistful), who owns the Midnight Hotel where a lot of the Foreigners stay.

I have a question! Anton is a closet comics nerd and he's been established in-game as recognising the other Marvel characters (young Tony, etc), but because he's a very polite man he hasn't (and will never) mention that he knows them from a 'story'. (He also keeps his comics under lock and key.)

How would you prefer I play that with Steve? I can either do it the same way (Anton recognises him but doesn't fourth-wall) or I can say the Dreaming wreaks a bit of havoc so Steve seems familiar, like he's a distant acquaintance, but Anton can't remember where they met. Like deja vu.

Hello Pur! I'm personally fine with him being like "Yes I know you from/read your comics" because that was a thing in the movies too and he knows they're floating around.

Awesome, that will be fun! Anton is 500+ years old and a sorcerer, and the Marvel comics are one of the few ways he's in any way a child.

That being said I'm going to make sure it only happens face-to-face or in private radio, since the other Marvel players have requested not to be fourth-walled and I don't want to risk putting it in a place their characters might ICly see it.
