Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.
How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles. → Tag around with everyone! → Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle! → Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle! But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
- Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!
- Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
- Where There's A Will, There's A...?
The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what starts out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! It's just appeared in front of you. Though, it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...
- SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE!
The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market. Maybe you haven't been hired by them at all, but are using their name for your own goals... as long as no one discovers the lie!
- Wait... you want my what now?!
The kedan are a curious folk, and the Foreigners are entertainment in conveniently arriving packages, especially when they come along with unique items that the kedan might not have seen before. Maybe it's your cellphone... or maybe it's your knickers! How badly do you want to keep your stuff from some overeager native shapeshifters who want to buy, bribe, or burglarize it right off your person?
- Sea prunes, get your sea prunes right here!
Life in Keeliai can take a little getting used to: the chickens have scales, the cows have feathers, and the fruits come in more colour and pattern combinations than your average tye-dye shirt. Not to mention that meal you just ordered from the food vendor? Has arrived on the plate, and you're pretty sure you just saw it move.
- Everybody needs a little darkness...
The Great Enemy may have been defeated over two years ago, and people are even willing to speak Malicant's name aloud now, but there remains a taint in the city never fully purged. Those who consider Malicant a dark god whose end was unjust are the cultists of Keeliai, and they aren't always so easy to identify as one might think. Sometimes their presence is felt in the growing urge to give into one's darker instincts, especially in such a foreign place...
- Illicit substances, anyone?
Every city has its vices, and Keeliai is no different. Perhaps you actively sought it out, or perhaps an opportunistic dealer saw you as a potential customer needing a free sample, but you're now in possession of a packet of Lucid, an emotion-enhancing drug. Interested in finding out what happens when you crush that colourful crystal and ingest it?
- Incoming!
Tu Vishan's latest landfall stop has brought an unwelcome problem to its residents: enormous, toothy creatures who look more like pterosaurs than most people are comfortable with! With a twenty-foot wingspan, these aren't exactly harmless local wildlife, and they have a nasty habit of swooping down on targets both Foreigner and kedan! How are you going to fend them off, or help someone who might have been injured by the latest dive bombing??
- WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the uncontrollable urge to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Anything goes!

Sabine Wren | Star Wars: Rebels
[For all that she's used to standing out, being in a place like this just takes it to an entirely different level. It's lo-tech, at least by even the minimal standards she's used to, and more than enough stares and double-takes have been directed towards her as she makes her way along the crowded streets.
She's glad that her gear for the most part is kept close to her, and while her internal comm built into her helmet doesn't seem to work, the sensors and microcameras do, for which she's more than thankful as she can keep an eye all around her even while she moves forward. Training and missions aplenty have given her more than enough experience to know when she's getting more attention than can possibly be good.
Plus, she has an idea of what these two might be after, given they'd already directly confronted her not too long ago. Like she's going to sell her beskar'gam! Given they're far from Mandalore Sabine doesn't expect them to understand the importance of one's armor, and she'd given them the benefit of the doubt once they'd apologized and she'd gone her way.
...but apparently they hadn't taken the hint.
Once she reaches a good spot, she steps off to the side, out of the immediate foot traffic as she keeps her eyes open, picking out the two that have been tailing her.]
.9
Guess these aren't like the ones I read about from Onderon..!
[They had been magnificent creatures to watch from afar, but Sabine's eagerness upon seeing them close up has quickly turned, given that the incoming winged things had only drawn nearer with interests in finding a quick meal. She sees the kedan running for cover in a panic as several swoop down from the sky.]
-look out!
[Dancing aside to narrowly avoid a stray flap of one's wing, the young Mandalorian whips out her dual blaster pistols and opens fire as yet another creature aims for a screaming local. It abruptly veers off course with an irritated shriek. Again she takes aim and shoots at another, aiming to drive the bat-winged beasts back while people run for cover. It's hard to keep track of everything that's moving, and while she can ultimately fire in two directions simultaneously, she doesn't want to chance hitting anyone.
Still, she does her best at having people's backs. But who has hers?]
5
You certainly do stick out. It's not every day that someone in Mandalorian armor shows up here.
no subject
[At least it looks like her kedan stalkers aren't so smart. Just to be on the safe side, Sabine remains by the wall of the building she'd stepped beside, keeping a look out out of the corner of her T-visor. She folds her arms, sighing as she leans back. Well, she's in no hurry to get anywhere, so she's fine with biding her time until those two take the hint.
It's when someone else approaches her direction that she tenses, if slightly. When the robed man turns away, she tilts her head, curious. His words surprise her, and her caution is renewed.]
...didn't expect anyone to recognize it around here. You must be familiar with my part of the galaxy.
no subject
[Though that's as far as he'll go on that topic, especially with someone he's only just met.]
Though I must admit that's the most colorful set of armor I've seen yet.
no subject
Customized it myself. What can I say, I like colors.
[She gives a bit of a shrug.]
...although you know, you could probably do for some color too.
no subject
I beg your pardon? This attire is standard Jedi issue.
no subject
Wait...you're a Jedi??
no subject
no subject
Well, yeah, considering the Jedi are practically non-existent.
no subject
I see. So you come from after the Empire has come to power.
no subject
[Whoops. Well, she can't help it- the only Jedi she knows are either still training to be, no longer or not officially so!
She turns her head away, her tone softer, although not hiding the bitterness as they broach the subject of the Empire.]
...yeah. My friends and I are trying to do what we can against it.
no subject
[It was certainly admirable, though certainly not without its risks. She and her friends could very likely get themselves killed opposing the Empire. Look what happened to the Jedi after all.]
no subject
[Not after the things she's witnessed firsthand. And any victory, no matter how small, that they achieved against the Empire was proof that it was not an invincible power as it would like to have others believe.]

The masked man turned and gazed back at Sabine, his expression obscured except for his eyes, which seemed rather cold.]
You're welcome.
no subject
[She sees it, but she knows she won't be able to move in time, and she braces for the worst-
-which doesn't come as another form blurs past, taking the creature down with it. With the things she'd been concentrating fire on dispatched, Sabine turns, blinking behind her helmet at what's transpired.]
What...
[She's got no idea what just happened- the creature had been flailing about only moments ago and all he did was look at it... A subtle shiver traces down her spine like a trailing finger.]
....right. Thanks.
no subject
I have no projectile weapons myself, but if we can draw them near, I can take out multiple at a time.
[He pointed to her guns.]
Their flight may seem erratic, but they're swarming and hunting together, as a pack. If you make them angry enough, it might cause the pack to work together to take you out.
no subject
[She doesn't need to be reminded, following his gaze skywards. That's a sound plan to her, and it gains a nod and a twirl of both her blasters.]
Can do.
[Casting a sweeping look around the area, Sabine steps back, hopping up onto a bench before she lifts her Westars in preparation to fire. She squeezes off a few shots to get their attention, following with alternating blasts once they notice her.]
...think they're mad yet?
[There's a smirk in her tone despite being unseen through her helmet. Red blaster fire continues to blaze through the air as the creatures that aren't caught by a shot or two shift their focus.
Knees bending, the Mandalorian prepares to move.]
no subject
Stay behind me.
[As the creatures swooped down, he took a deep breath, focusing himself. Suddenly, he snapped his head upwards, and one by one the creatures that got within ten feet of him stopped in midair, suspended by seemingly nothing. Their bodies were rigid and unable to move.
After a moment, he snapped his chin back down and all of the creatures in his grip were pinned to the ground.]
Now finish them off.
no subject
[It's an order she heeds, taking up a defensive position as the masked man steps in front. Her helmet's HUD tracks as many of the creatures as it can manage, although once they start diving towards them it seems pointless.
She gasps a little in surprise as suddenly, with just a single movement from the man in front of her, a number of the winged pterosaur-like things froze in midair. Just as quickly are they slammed down, and all Sabine can wonder is if this person is some kind of Force-user...
His words break her out of her thoughts, and without hesitation, she takes aim and fires at each one. It's brutal, but given their actions earlier, they weren't going to back off easily otherwise. Hopefully this would give the rest of them second thoughts.]
no subject
From the looks of it, though, he wasn't going to have to do it again. The swarm was disoriented from the deaths of so many companions, and was beginning to thin as far as he could tell.
Without turning to her, Amon addressed her, his tone more gentle.]
It's my turn to thank you. You're an efficient fighter, and one of the more capable people I've met here.
no subject
[Sabine breathes a sigh of relief as the rest scatter. She watches for a moment with her scope as they get farther before flipping it back up, her gaze falling upon the bodies there on the ground. When she's satisfied that they're not going to move and nothing else seems bent on attacking them, she holsters her blasters.
Her eyes shift towards the man who'd assisted her, or rather his back. From his earlier attitude she hadn't quite expected his gratitude, so it's a pleasant surprise to hear his words.]
Wouldn't have been as effective without you.
...what was that, anyway? I'd say it was like you were using the Force, but this place is pretty far from my galaxy.
no subject
I'd rather not talk about it, if I don't have to. In fact, I'd appreciate it if you never mentioned it again. It's not something I'm fond of people knowing about.
[Still, better she saw that than anything else. At least what he did would seem inexplicable.]
I'm more impressed with your weapons. I've never seen anything like them.
no subject
[As he begins to waver, Sabine starts towards his side.]
Are you all right?
[She can guess that such an ability, whatever it is, is as taxing as Force use, at least. Kneeling beside him, she nods slowly at his request. She can respect that.]
...then I won't ask.
These? They're just blaster pistols. It fires energy bolts. I'm guessing wherever you're from doesn't have technology like this.
no subject
[Amon stared at the blasters in her hands, tracing the weapons with his eyes.]
Lethal weapons like this aren't unheard of where I'm from - we have nothing like these of course, but given time we likely would have developed something similar within a few years.
[He held out one hand.]
Mind if I take a look?
no subject
[She seems a touch apprehensive about letting anyone handle her blasters, but after a moment, she turns the weapon about in her hand, offering it grip-first.]
