The Great Enemy may have been defeated over two years ago, and people are even willing to speak Malicant's name aloud now, but there remains a taint in the city never fully purged. Those who consider Malicant a dark god whose end was unjust are the cultists of Keeliai, and they aren't always so easy to identify as one might think. Sometimes their presence is felt in the growing urge to give into one's darker instincts, especially in such a foreign place... Illicit substances, anyone? Every city has its vices, and Keeliai is no different. Perhaps you actively sought it out, or perhaps an opportunistic dealer saw you as a potential customer needing a free sample, but you're now in possession of a packet of Lucid, an emotion-enhancing drug. Interested in finding out what happens when you crush that colourful crystal and ingest it? Incoming! Tu Vishan's latest landfall stop has brought an unwelcome problem to its residents: enormous, toothy creatures who look more like pterosaurs than most people are comfortable with! With a twenty-foot wingspan, these aren't exactly harmless local wildlife, and they have a nasty habit of swooping down on targets both Foreigner and kedan! How are you going to fend them off, or help someone who might have been injured by the latest dive bombing?? WILDCARD! Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the uncontrollable urge to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Anything goes!

[Iroh hadn't expected to find himself back in Keelai. Actually, it had taken him a bit to remember that he'd been here before. In that time, he managed to trip over a cart with a rather too-skittish kirin. The kirin (stiill attached to the cart) chased Iroh, and the farmer chased them both. Welcome back to the Turtle's Shell, Iroh.]

Hello! Nice to see you! Let's catch up later? Watch out!

[When the local wildlife is rampaging, sometimes the best thing to do is sit under shelter made from cafe tables and finish your tea and bowl of noodles. However, Iroh is quick to gesture to any fleeing passers-by to join him. Or maybe assist with a grab and a warning shot designed to startle the flying menace more than hurt anyone. Animals have to eat too; Iroh would just rather they find other things.]

[Zuko had just been minding his own business in the marketplace, selling his latest catches and kills from one of his hunting excursions. However, he looks up with several other Kedan as a commotion is coming their way.

For a moment, Zuko can only stare at what he sees.]

Uncle?!

Zuko! Would you mind helping your uncle for a bit?

[Iroh would like to say hello to his nephew and chat, but Iroh would also like to not have a horned creature chasing him first.]

[Zuko blinks and assess the situation as his Uncle and the Kirin and the farmer streak by. He then whips out a boomerang, yes a boomerang, and tosses it. The weapon flies through the air and slices right through the bindings that connect the Kirin to its cart. The sudden release causes the Kirin to trip and tumble, effectively bringing the chase to a halt.

Zuko then runs over just in time to catch the red boomerang in his hand again. Ignoring the farmer as he frets over his animal. Instead going to his uncle. Oh and that sure is a small pair of wings on his back.]

Uncle! Are you alright?

[Iroh had nearly tripped when he realized he didn't need to run any more. Now he has a better chance of taking in his surroundings. Including the fact his nephew had used what looked like a Water Tribe boomerang, and that he had wings.]

Yes. Just let me catch my breath. I hadn't expected to come back here.

[He's pretty sure he left and returned, but he can't tell how long he's been away. Days... months... years maybe. Surely not years again.]

[Yes it was definitely a red colored water tribe boomerang. Though that wasn't the only thing Water Tribe about Zuko. There's also a Water Tribe style bone and bear claw necklace around his neck.]

Come back? You've been here before?

[Yeah this is definitely not the Zuko he had been here with last.]

Yes, and you were with me. Though you did go home for some time in between...

Sometimes people come back without any memory of having come here. Though coming back with wings is a new one.

Yeah, I know.

[He's already encountered people he didn't know who said they knew him. But that happened when he arrived in Luceti too, so he was kind of used to it. ... Oh yeah, the wings.]

It's a long story. Maybe we should talk about it over tea.

[as it happens he's resting on his elbows nearby and since he's in the middle of (admittedly stolen) noodles and shimmies closer to rest beside Iroh because might as well have company if he's going to have dinner and show]

Iroh. And from what I recall, this is not too unusual. At least these are animals and will no doubt move on when there are easier things to catch.

You could say that. I'm only recently back though. Things may have changed since then.

[Adrien had ducked into here for a safe place to transform, to try and deal with the rampage that way. It was a lot easier dealing with vicious animals when you knew you couldn't get hurt than when you were squishy and vulnerable.

Buuut there's someone else in here, so that would be an ix-nay on the transforming. The old guy looks far too relaxed for the chaos going on around him. Adrien's not sure if he should be worried or not. ]

What? Oh, I'm fine. I figured these creatures will go away once the excitement dies down, and I wanted to finish my tea in peace.

[Adrien glances behind him to the rampaging monsters, then back to the old man.]

They seem pretty intent on destroying things. Shouldn't you go somewhere safer? I can help you, if you need it.

[he generally is acting more like this is a loud group at a neighboring table than dive-bombing lizard-birds.]

[Adrien shifts, a touch panicked, not understanding why the old guy doesn't seem to see what danger he's in. Maybe it's an old person thing?]

Just until they go away again anyway. Doesn't hurt to be safe, right?

[Alya has never seen an old man run that fast before. She's also never been in a city on a turtle's back before, either, so this is a time for new things, apparently.

She can tell from here that the alleyway she's tucked into is a little too narrow for the kirin and cart to get through, so she waves Iroh over and calls out to him.]

Hey, mister! Over here!

[Alya, never having been one to be without her phone, has it out and recording, and catches the kirin on camera as it rushes by. She peeks out and has to bite her lip to stifle a laugh when she sees the farmer in pursuit of it.]

You run pretty fast for an old guy. [Satisfied with what she's managed to record, she exits out of her phone's video app and slides it into her pocket before turning to look at him.] So why was that thing chasing you?

Well, I do stay in good shape.

And, I may have accidentally tripped over the kirin. I forgot how disorienting arriving her can be.
