Ongoing Plot - The Force!
We asked for it, and the mods have delivered! Because they're just awesome like that.
Starting from this point on, there will be an ongoing plot involving the Force! That mystical energy field that grants people amazing powers in the universe that is Star Wars. By means of the Dreaming, any character or NPC can potentially be able to use and harness the power of the Force! Granted this doesn't mean that anyone's character can suddenly be a Master overnight. This will be a gradual thing that manifests. Like any Jedi, or other proficient Force user, there has to be training to become skilled in the ways of the Force. Training to use the Force is something that takes years, and there is a broad spectrum in how talented one is in being able to wield it. Not to mention there's many techniques.
Player discretion will be given in which characters gain Force sensitivity, how quickly they learn, and how powerful they become. It's only asked that everyone play it out at a realistic pace. Obviously if someone becomes as powerful as Anakin Skywalker in the course of a month, that would be a problem. However, to become good at using the Force, the character must have a teacher to learn from. There is no exception to this.
There are a handful of Force users in game already who could likely help your character learn. For example, Obi-Wan will be more than willing to take on students and pass on what he knows. However, he will be selective in whom he teaches.
Also, as stated before, this will be a gradual thing. Not even the Force users in game already will know what's going on at first. Obi-Wan will be feeling a disturbance to kick things off, but won't know what the cause of it is. Characters who will be gaining Force abilities will likely feell... different. But at first won't know why or be able to explain it. Thus your character isn't going to wake up one morning and accidentally move something across the room with a wave of their hand. More like making a small object, like a flower pot, wiggle a little at first. Something along those lines. The rate at which things increase is up to you, just be realistic about it.
Also, if your character has Force powers but decides they don't want to be taught, that's fine. Just know that their abilities will be very limited.
Hopefully I did okay at explaining this? If you have any questions, or if I forgot to mention something, then just ask via comment to this thread.
