hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the bi-monthly edition of the CR Meme, our first for 2016! For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're interested in for your characters in coming months. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. This round, we have a special section called LANDFALL LINEUP, specifically for getting your characters up to shenanigans now that they've arrived on Tavimbi's shores. CHARACTER: Yuri Lowell / wolfstrike
CANON: Tales of Vesperia

CURRENT STATUS: Yuri recently acquired a guild house for Brave Vesperia and also experienced what was happening at home thanks to Milyn. Having seen the soul gemed Kedan in his world Yuri then sought out his family and found his sister who experimenting with inter dimensional travel and the salt. Yuri was asked to be a liaison and see if any foreigners who want to go home would participate in these experiments. He's also still doing breakfasts at the hotel.

CR GOALS: I would really like him to have more meaningful CR. A lot of characters know he exists but don't really know him all that well with the exception of one or two people. Friends would be good for him since otherwise he's going to revert back to his lone wolf complex.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Yuri is a fighting addict. He is going to be frequenting the Jagaiz games as a participant on a regular basis so I would love some CR regarding this whether it be when he crawls to the clinic with a broken arm or fights another foreigner in the ring.

SCENE-DOS: Just about anything goes with this guy but really face to face scenes are preferred. He's also very much a action oriented character, so he's at his best when things are happening. Like I said above meaningful CR where he gets closer to people would be great.

SCENE-DON'TS: Negative CR is okay to a point, I don't like overwhelming amounts. I'm also getting kind of tired of slice of life with him. Yuri isn't the type to just sit around and discuss the weather, he gets bored pretty easily.

CURRENT STATUS: He's just arrived and still settling in to things.

CR GOALS: Just looking for any CR at the moment!

LANDFALL LINEUP: He will mostly just be walking around and trying to learn about the natives and establish good relations with them. No concrete plans as of yet.

SCENE-DOS: As of right now anything goes!

SCENE-DON'TS: Can't really think of anything other than no overwhelming negative CR.

More Yuri and Casey because they are turning out rather a delight.

And then there's Obi-Wan who would probably be great with any of mine. There's the fact Cain needs to give his radio back, but Casey just kind of radiates HELP ME, I'M HELPLESS a lot (unless Obi-Wan wants to feel some kind of crazy power from a dragon-soul :V) and Junior is just... painfully normal and hilariously has the face of Kylo Ren who Obi-Wan doesn't know.

CANON: Harry Potter

CURRENT STATUS: Newly arrived, not really involved in much other than vague interest in the salt issue that was going on.

CR GOALS: I'd like to get him a group of 'friends' that he reliably talks to.

LANDFALL LINEUP: I actually don't have any plans for him for landfall, so if anyone is looking for extra scening, please let me know! I'd like to do something with him.

SCENE-DOS: I really love angst and drama with Snape. I'm all for negative CR, but unexpected friendships are also fun to play out.

SCENE-DON'TS: I really hate writing fight scenes, honestly. I'm also not big into round-robin tagging, partially because of how long it takes. (See: Additional)

ADDITIONAL: My time is pretty limited for RP thanks to college, so I'm moving at a glacial pace lately. I really do want to get more involved and RP with everyone, and I hope people are okay with me being sporadic. This was why I mentioned round-robin tagging above: the more people involved in a thread, the longer it's going to take to finish it, and with me moving as slowly as I am...well. Yeah. :(

Hello yes I'm here and I want Snape CR /sits down

I can't even imagine how these two would get along but I really really want to find out. I felt bad for missing Snape's intro... I'm tentatively planning either an Erskine or a Rue network post soon (Snape and Rue would be amazing) and I'm going to have Erskine out bristling at the injustice against certain races in Tavimbi at some point, possibly after a little random exploration. We could try tossing them together and see what happens? Or I can do the network post and we can try there before actually setting up any kind of logthing. I'm pretty open at the moment!

(oh and Erskine's planning Drag Night on the Turtle 2017. I don't even know how Snape would get involved other than as a possible innocent bystander but *_* )

Valdis is here for 'friendship', most likely in the same way she and Bakura are friends, aka, they put up with each other and begrudgingly know they can rely on one another if needed.

I also wonder how he'd handle the whole shapeshifter thing, considering his relationship with Lupin and the other Masqueraders. I think their CR could be fascinating. She'd be interested to hear about Voldemort at some point too.

Hi I would love to continue Sol/Snape things. <.< >.> Initial trolling of 'hi I know your name' aside, Sol is pretty benign toward Snape and if nothing else I think they could be good research buddies?

Sol does have a warded Dreaming lab in the Healer's Guild where he's researching planar connections and souls and things, and there's probably room in there for a cauldron or two. /shot

I would like to do things with your Snape. Cain would probably be the easiest "in" because he's old and snarky and very hard to offend, so at least Snape would have someone to talk to. There's Casey, who would be much more student-like than equal, I imagine, in that they just... have that vibe... but they do have a type of magic so it could certainly be fun to play out!

And then there's Junior who's just a baker trying to figure out what. the. hell. with everything.

CHARACTER: Simon Tam / pompous_today
CANON: Firefly

CURRENT STATUS: Simon is brand-new so he's still settling in, learning his way around, and trying to get to know people.

CR GOALS: I would like for Simon to get to know people River has been friendly with, as well as at least talk to all the healers so he can coordinate with them if need be. He's available if your character needs medical treatment, though be forewarned he's only worked on humans and is an ordinary human himself, so he does have limits. I also don't mind antagonistic CR, since Simon can sometimes act or speak before he thinks and his first priority is River's safety.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Simon is mostly going to be exploring and being fascinated by the non-human races. He'll also be heartily disapproving of people fighting in arenas gosh why aren't you more civilized.

SCENE-DOS: I'm open to a lot of stuff- again, Simon's still new and I'm still finding my feet in this game. I like Simon learning new things and taking care of people.

SCENE-DON'TS: My only hard nos are smut and shipping for the time being. He's still attached to Kaylee at this point, and while I'm fine with characters flirting with him, it won't be reciprocated. I'm also awful at writing fight scenes, so I'd like to avoid those even though it's probably not gonna come up often.

ADDITIONAL: My tagging speed is once a day or less, since I usually tag from work and my ability to do so can change day to day due to circumstances beyond my control. On my days off I can boomerang, but otherwise I'll cherrypick and try to empty my inbox at least once. If you ever need to get ahold of me, PMing Simon's journal is great, or you can shoot me a private Plurk shurimon, since I accept them from people not on my friends list. You can add me too if you'd like, it's all good.

CURRENT STATUS: Still living in the Hotel, still working as the Hotel's janitor. He received an Echo Stone for Christmas so he's been a little harder to find than usual, but he's still around. For a few months now he's been visiting the poorer parts of Keeliai usually at least every other day, if not for an hour or two a day, to try to help out. Working at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, etc. Also in the near future he's going to be putting together Drag Night on the Turtle 2017 (ie- he's dragging several friends out to a club in drag, including Anton). It will be a thing of beauty :')

CR GOALS: I'd love to touch base with some of his friendly acquaintances and see if we can maybe have them chat again, but I'd also love some new friends/acquaintances/frenemies/etc for him. Both? Both is good.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Random exploration. FLYING. And getting all bristly about the racism/injustice/whathaveyou on Tavimbi. And probably dragging healers out to help some of the little chameleon people. Good times.

SCENE-DOS: I'd love some network things that are easier to get through quickly, tbh, because while I adore logs, I just don't always have the time/patience/focus to finish them. I love fluff, drama, awkward mixes of the two. There's not much I won't do.

SCENE-DON'TS: Not looking for romance, but it's not like he had a whole lot going on in that department anyway :')

ADDITIONAL: December was godawful for me activity-wise. I'd love to get things moving again. I don't have a cute gif or macro I apologize ;~;

Erskine has managed to redeem himself enough to be okay in Yuri's eyes. Helping out in the poor parts of town is so up Yuri's alley though so maybe they can cross paths occasionally?

CANON: Original

CURRENT STATUS: Valdis has been hunting cultists and recently discovered that one of her contacts, Dardul, is in actuality Enon, a man who was supposedly murdered sixteen years ago. This information has prompted her to move him to the Midnight Hotel, where she can be certain that he will be safe. She plans to do more digging into what happened to him. As of this posting, Valdis is residing at Milyn's clinic due to dying in an explosions at the College.

CR GOALS: I adore my current CR, but would really like to expand it and have Valdis interact with new people as well. I would like her to learn that it is ok to ask others for help.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Valdis will be spending some time in the Jagaiz Games, sparring with the other foreigners and probably some of the local champions. She will also continue to follow up on Dardul/Enon and the cultists. She will also probably find time in her busy schedule to bother the NPCs.

SCENE-DOS: Fluff, angst, drama and plot. I don't mind negative CR, but would prefer more positive interactions this month.

SCENE-DON'TS: I'm pretty open to things, so I'll just go with N/A this time around.

Do you think it might be possible to get Snape in on protecting Enon? Since he's (presumably) staying at the Midnight Hotel, it would be a natural move, were Valdis to find out who he is and what he's capable of.

CURRENT STATUS: Recovering from the lab explosion and now likely off exploring Tavimbi! No immediate short-term goals, he's been mostly spontaneous with what he does on the turtle of late.

CR GOALS: Everything possible. Cain is good with basically any kind of CR!

LANDFALL LINEUP: So much interest in the technology! All the different species will be kind of confusing and weird but Cain will deal, and probably be checking out all the different castes without much worry.

SCENE-DOS: EVERYTHING for Cain is open-season. He's my easiest as far as what I can or can't do with him.

SCENE-DON'TS: Dogs. No, I'm not kidding. Cain does not do well with canines. Let's not.

ADDITIONAL: Anything else you might want to add that doesn't fit into the above goes here.

CHARACTER: Casey Ramone / dragonaught
CANON: Original (Dragon Dating Simulator)

CURRENT STATUS: Bit overwhelmed without much to do, leaving them more of a nervous wreck than usual. Lives at the Midnight Hotel as a live-in medic!

CR GOALS: Anything positive and fluffy, really. Casey could really do with some stabilizing influences and people to look out for to help keep the blues away. They're a lot more fragile than you might think...

LANDFALL LINEUP: For Casey, there is going to be some serious investigation of the rakenga — the dragonlike food source that the Xojan hunt. They are going to have an encounter via a plot reward, and then will be looking for anyone willing to help further! This isn't something they can do alone, so who wants to see what's up with the rakenga? :D

SCENE-DOS: Basically anything. Casey is a dear who needs friends to thrive, but conflict isn't outside the realm of possibility. Just not the best for them right now.

SCENE-DON'TS: Um... idk??? I don't really much see the need to ever put my foot down...

ADDITIONAL: Casey goes by 'they' because Casey is agender (but still presents as male in public). If your character assumes 'he,' that's perfectly fine.

CANON: Original (Near Miss)

CURRENT STATUS: Just got here!! Probably has picked up a job by now and looking for someplace more permanent to stay. Roomies?

CR GOALS: Anyone, please! Junior could use some people to talk to that aren't... teenage girls...???

LANDFALL LINEUP: He isn't going to head to Tavimbi right away. Once he gets settled on the turtle he'll show up and probably be totally overwhelmed. Perfect chance for someone to catch him before he does something dumb!

SCENE-DOS: For Junior, I kind of want to see what it's like to have someone SO PAINFULLY NORMAL trying to pretend like everything is totally cool with all this weirdness. Which it is, but adapting is kind of a big thing and he could use the practice.

SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing I can think of at the moment!

CURRENT STATUS: Running the Healers' Guild. She may or may not have been working herself a little too hard with the fog and all, but fortunately there are people to make sure she doesn't go completely overboard. However, she's... kind of absorbed in that and hasn't been doing a lot else lately.

CR GOALS: Please drag her out of the Healers' Guild it'll be great. She needs to get out, and she needs people to remind her that hobbies are a thing, besides just research.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Still trying to figure out what Raine'll be doing, alas. I know she'll be pretty interested in the Xunutane, and all the associated tech, but she's also not at all a fan of the Right of Denvang so how much time she spends on land may vary.

CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant

CURRENT STATUS: First off, if you've never interacted with China before, heads up that she does a love magic sort of thing because she's terrible. There are permissions; if you just want to not engage with her, lmk and that's fine.

As to her actual status? She's kind of been lurking and doing that information gathering thing she does, but honestly I'm not 100% where she's at right now, apart from possibly not causing trouble. For a change. We'll see how long that lasts. She's been sort-of avoiding the person who most qualifies as a friend, so there's that, too.

CR GOALS: For China, I would really love to prod at her warmer emotions. I'm not a hundred percent sure how, mind, but she's got plenty of annoyances and angries lined up. Ideally I want her to grow and learn about friendship -- yes, I'm typing that with a straight face -- but heck, even someone to snark companionably rather than venomously with would be nice.

LANDFALL LINEUP: I. I don't even know. Help.

SCENE-DOS: Special preference for feelings and characters getting to know each other beyond the surface of 'hi this is what I do nice to meet you.' Let's get them opening up. :D

SCENE-DON'TS: I'd prefer to keep the negative CR to a minimum just for right now. Additionally, if you'd like your character not to be healed for whatever reason, please don't involve Raine. As much as certain people appear to have gotten her head on straight about failures to heal people, I'd prefer to avoid it for now.

CANON: Iron Man: Armored Adventures

CURRENT STATUS: Tony is working at the College helping out with their research, running his makerspace, and repairing his asploded lab. His relationship with Gene is going steady, and he's settled into domestic bliss with Gene and Pepper in House Iron Dragon.

My current metaplot goals for him are to investigate the console symbols from a few months ago, and to help Gene and Valdis dig into the Chihuelans/Celaunn/Zanru mystery.

CR GOALS: Tony doesn't have any major gaps in his CR spread right now, so I'm not looking for anything in particular. But that means I'm open to just about anything! I'm always OK with negative CR, so anything goes.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Tony is going to be getting ALL up in the Dexedi's business and learning everything he can about the Xunutane. He'll definitely be interested in the Jagaiz rings, and I'd love to thread out some matches with other foreigners! He may also be making trouble on the Kin'nal's behalf. The Sabonile religious element isn't his wheelhouse, but he'll see the treatment of the Kin'nal as unjust, and will at the very least be down in the Lorn level frequently making structural repairs.

SCENE-DOS: I'm really looking for some more action and plot. I'm not very good at running my own plots (I get overwhelmed and burned out too easily), but Tony definitely needs something to keep him occupied. So I'm going to try to focus on throwing him at other people's plots - if you need characters to facilitate/get involved in something you're planning, I'm 100% here for that!

SCENE-DON'TS: I'm not wild about open-ended SoL threads with no goal or direction in mind.

CURRENT STATUS: Still running the Midnight Hotel, but he's having a bit of personal trouble. He now knows he has a condition which results in the trembles and lethargy and a bunch of other fun stuff, but he's not too good at not triggering it yet. Also, he's having trouble keep a lid on his anger (and therefore his gist) because China did her thing and now he hates her. A lot. He needs a bit of help with stability, p much.

CR GOALS: Mothering? Not necessarily him sitting down and just not working, like when his condition flared up last year, but just people looking out for him.

LANDFALL LINEUP: He's going to miss the first few days because dead not!daughter, but then he's probably going to blow off some steam in the Jagaiz rings or give care packages to the chameleon people.

Can't think of any scene dos and don'ts for Anton right now, but if there's something that isn't jiving I'll let you know.


CHARACTER: Solomon Wreath / peacefullywreathed
CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant

CURRENT STATUS: Being a bit of a recluse with his girlfriend and studying planar connections and souls. He's also still doing some detective work.

CR GOALS: Sol ... is a bit hard to get out because he doesn't really need a lot of friends. I'd like him to have more, he just isn't necessarily a social person. He doesn't mind people to do business with, though, or to ally with for a project.

LANDFALL LINEUP: He might be interested in the Xunutane and whether it's alive. Otherwise, tricking Skulduggery into a Jagaiz ring.

SCENE-DOS: Research! He's developed entry into the Dreaming but I haven't done much with it yet. Likewise, not much with the soul stuff. And he still has a corpse from the soul-gem muggings, belonging to a woman who healed instantly but then dropped dead for no apparent reason. I'd like to be able to ICly further his research in general.

I'd also like to develop some more friendship-like things.

SCENE-DON'TS: Not really interested in new negative CR, still.

ADDITIONAL:

I want Valdis and Sol friendship! Recognizing the fact that just because she can come back from dying doesn't mean that her life doesn't have value and hence she is more willing to ask for help. She might even apologize to him for her dismissive attitude.

CHARACTER: Klaus Von Reinherz / purered
CANON: Blood Blockade Battlefront

CURRENT STATUS: Throughout the month of February, he's gonna be working his blood arts to anchor Tu Vishan. And probably gonna be eating a lot of sweets and liver to help him from turning into a shriveled fig of a man.


CR GOALS:
Drag night. Need I say more.

Also, lbr, he had a blast in the underground fighting ring in Master Fighter of E-den so with a little prompting (or, you know, lying) it wouldn't be far-fetched to get Klaus in a Jigaiz match as your winning horse.

But generally, I don't think Klaus has used his powers at all publicly so if you have a character who would be out and about and freaked out by the fact someone is literally using their own blood to make giant indestructible crosses to fence in a state-sized turtle... welp.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Klaus is going to be all over exploring the new city, and while I want him to get involved with the Jigaiz fights, his focus is going to be looking for ways to wake up Tu Vishan. Since, you know. Comatose turtle is probably not good.

SCENE-DOS: Klaus's stay has been relatively positive so I wouldn't mind delving into some angst and manpain (if it's something that comes up). I'm equally fine with either prose, action logs, or network posts, though for this month I'll probably do more of the latter two since they're quicker.

SCENE-DON'TS: This isn't the kind of game where I need to post my Scene Don'ts so, have at it.

CURRENT STATUS: Yorda washed up on shore and her current status falls along the lines of: "The fuq is this? The fuq is that??? The fuq are those????"

Tiny glowgirl don't know shit okay.

CR GOALS: Make friends! Enjoy not being in a cage! Explore all the things! Get in all the trouble!

Generally I want her to start knowing shit, and toughening up a bit. She's determined to be helpful.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Yorda will be loose as a goose in the city proper which means she's easy pickings when it comes to Hatal justice. Also wow, look at the size of those birds. (Protip- those are not birds, Yorda)


SCENE-DOS: Negative or positive CR is A+. She lends herself well to either. As with Klaus, prose, action, or network posts are dandy. Overall, I want her to make friends or people she thinks are friends who would find her powers very useful.

SCENE-DON'TS: I'm open to most things, and again, TuShanshu isn't really the kind of game where I'm worried about my 'Scene-Don'ts'.

CANON:

CURRENT STATUS: Pepper got herself blown up a few days ago, so that happened. Aside from that, she's doing pretty well - starting a business, learning how to use a sword, making all the friends. Oh, and apparently getting the ball rolling on building a new government in Keeliai. Whoops.

CR GOALS: All the friends. All the time. Perhaps some more opportunities to use shadow magic, since she needs to practice to get better, obviously.

LANDFALL LINEUP: I think it would be fun to throw Pepper into the rings a few times, but right now I've only set on having Valdis fight a Duel Monster she summons. SCENE-DOS: I personally tend to shie away from conflict, but it's not something Pepper would avoid as much as I do. So! I would be interested in testing myself with negative CR or other sorts of conflicty scenarios (although positive and neutral CR is also of course welcome). I'd also love the chance for her to practice magic. I'm here for the angst and the fluff and the drama and all of it.

SCENE-DON'TS: I'm not particularly averse to anything at the moment.

CURRENT STATUS: Her big brother has arrived!! So River is going to seem more stable, combined with possibly stressing Simon, whoops. But she's been here long enough between this visit and the pre-Malicant one that she can roll pretty well with things that happen.

CR GOALS: My main goal is to widen River's CR circle, and to have some more people realize she's got some seriously head-scratching abilities hidden away between bouts of rhyming and random text walls of scientific fact. In that vein, if anyone has yet to fill out her permissions post for those abilities, please peek at it! It can lead to all sorts of brain bending shenanigans.

LANDFALL LINEUP: I am absolutely having her take part in the Jagaiz rings because holy shit, who wants to watch the scraggly waif kick ass?? She hasn't had a chance to demonstrate that anywhere in game yet, so this should be awesome :D let's give Simon a coronary SORRY SIMON

CURRENT STATUS: Tending the dojo, very happy to have his ghosts back with him, very much less happy to have had to struck a deal with Zorc in order to get them back. So ostensibly he's looking for a way to poke into the sealed Death Realm, although I don't plan on that actually coming to a plot head in the near future. maybe next CR meme He's currently training Pepper in fighting and also in summoning Duel Monsters, which is A Very Sound Plan!! With the fog lifted, his own summoning is back to full strength.

CR GOALS: HE NEEDS MOAR FRIENDS okay the problem is that a) he mostly keeps to himself unless he's snarking at someone and b) he's a fucking cactus (Pepper says so) when it comes to his personality, so he puts off a lot of people with that (not always intentionally). Basically, he needs people to occasionally overlook him being an ass, but also to show up and basically force him out of the dojo to do social things. I'm definitely willing to fudge circumstances for this to happen, but I really want him to actually hang out with people outside his normal grouping of Sol, Raine, and Pepper.

LANDFALL LINEUP: I have nothing specific planned for him yet, so for the moment, just general exploring.

CHARACTER: Skulduggery Pleasant / skeletonenigma
CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant

CURRENT STATUS: Dead. But in the good way. Skul's been on autopilot for a while due to failure of the mun rather than failure of the character, but he's definitely been around and pretty easy to find. He was one of the people beaching Tu Vishan near Tavimbi safely. Short-term goals include exploring Tavimbi and looking for a way to wake Tu Vishan up so they will, someday, be able to leave.

CR GOALS: Right now my only solid plans are Tavimbi CR with Solomon Wreath and Erskine Ravel, but I also want some new CR from the many new characters we recently acquired! Basically, I want to branch out, and I'm up for pretty much anything. I'm hoping to be a lot better with random tag-ins over the next few months, which should help with that.

LANDFALL LINEUP: You'll probably have to trick Skulduggery into the Jagaiz rings, honestly (*coughSolomoncough*), and he'll be one of those people the rich natives roll their eyes at because he'll be flying pretty much everywhere. He's a show-off. He'll be interested in the giant crystal providing most of Hatal's power, but otherwise, he's not really of a technological bent.

SCENE-DOS: Left to my own devices, I default to prose, but I usually match whatever style is preferred by threading partners. I'm not averse to SOL, especially in a brand-new setting, but threads where something interesting is happening definitely keep my interest for longer. Philosophical discussions are always fun, too! And as I've mentioned before, I literally never get tired of watching peoples' reactions to ZOMG LIVING SKELETON.

SCENE-DON'TS: Nothing I'd throw my laptop out the window for, but I'm a little wary of negative CR right now for various reasons.

LANDFALL LINEUP: A bit of exploring, potentially getting in over his head, and finally maybe using some of his magic? Who wants to see him jump from fatal heights to land without injury?

SCENE-DOS: MORE SION YOU ARE A DUMB. Please. Please judge the hell out of him, his canon, and his life choices

CHARACTER: Duke Pantarei / radiantwingedone
CANON: Tales of Vesperia

CURRENT STATUS: Flipflopping between hermit and reliably being at the healer's guild. He basically laid facedown on the floor for most of December, and January was extra grumpy and quiet due to canon things.

CR GOALS: DUKE NEEDS FRIENDS. And by friends I mean people who will bother him about just about anything, and eventually get him out of "hermit" stage. He's stuck there, because a decade with minimal human contact does wonders for your social skills.

LANDFALL LINEUP: Exploring? Yes. He will be exploring. The less the area looks like people normally live there, the more likely it is to find Duke wandering there.

SCENE-DOS: Face-to-face is best. Some slice-of-life is great, just for ridiculous mental images, other than that, everything is good. I'll match prose / action spam, as.. he's not a terribly talkative person* (*some topics result in talkative duke. Like magic.)

SCENE-DON'TS: Too much slice-of-life / network doesn't work for him.
