Her words earn a chuckle, low and sincere and Jay shoots Elizabeth a glance. There's a pause from the man at the sight of her, before he looks again to the squirming item on his plate. While Jay might seem a little unsure of the food, he's certainly amused and most definitely up for the challenge.

"Not gonna lie, I'm wondering if I have to stick it with a fork or somethin' before I eat it," he answers, voice a little lower than before and words just for Elizabeth.

Jay leans a little her way and shoots her a mischievous look. "You're not gonna run screaming if I just bite into it, are you?"

Because that would definitely ruin his day.
