"Not gonna lie, I'm wondering if I have to stick it with a fork or somethin' before I eat it," he answers, voice a little lower than before and words just for Elizabeth.
Jay leans a little her way and shoots her a mischievous look. "You're not gonna run screaming if I just bite into it, are you?"
Because that would definitely ruin his day.

Not waiting for a definite reply from Elizabeth, Jay orders a second helping of the 'special' for his new companion. "Bon appétit, my dear lady. I promise to keep my manly shrieking to a minimum."
With a wink, Jay picks up the purple, wiggling tentacle-like fruit and takes a large bite from it. Whatever it is, it's juicy, and sure as he'd been that it was some kind of fruit or veg, now that he's tasted it, he's really not so sure.

It's a taste unlike anything she's ever tried before, but then, she hasn't had a world of ingredients to experiment with. "Well," Elizabeth says after clearing her throat a little more forcefully than normal. "It's... interesting..."
