Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.
How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles. → Tag around with everyone! → Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle! → Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace! Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!
Dramatic Chase Sequence! You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
Where There's A Will, There's A...? The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...
SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE! The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market.
WILDCARD! Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Anything goes!
The Fire Sector was once her home, but now it was one of her least favorite places, mostly because of the Snakes, though some of them were a bit more intriguing of late. Her senses caught the unusual feeling of discomfort as she passed near one of the brothels. It was unusual to sense such a thing, usually the emotions were twisted, lustful. She wasn't fond of brothels, at least courtesans possessed class, though that was a bygone era.
She turned toward the bustle near the entrance and headed toward it a a brusk pace, a broad smile on her face. The man who was the source of the emotions, tall, light haired, handsome, was surrounded by Kedan vying for his attention.
"Oh, there you are," she said as she approached, managing to sound both pleased and annoyed at the same time. "I've been looking for you."
The Kedan parted, and those who didn't move out of her way quickly enough received a blood red glare, but by the time she met the man's eyes, hers were emerald again.
"You must excuse us," she said firmly to one of the brothel 'employees', "He's new and he got a bit lost."
Slipping her arm around the newcomer's elbow, she pulled him away from the now unhappy Kedan and led him away, leading him toward a somewhat safer area.
He'd never been terribly comfortable around these sorts of places, though he liked to fancy that at least he'd gotten a little better than he'd been in Kirkwall, trying to drag Templar recruits out of the Blooming Rose while the ah... young ladies there tried to ply him with their charms. He'd lived a little more since then, found a bit of sympathy and understanding he'd been lacking.
Still, that didn't mean Cullen wasn't immeasurably grateful for the reprieve that somehow came in the form of the petite, dark-haired woman who took his arm. Thankfully he didn't notice the shift in her eye-color--all he saw were (presumably) prostitutes backing off, and a small savior coming to his rescue. He was quick enough to play along, at least, giving the crowd a sheepish smile and a little wave of one gloved hand as he let himself be dragged away. It wasn't until they were down the block a bit and out of earshot before he allowed himself to sigh in relief.
"Maker's breath, I-- Thank you, my lady. I seem to have a very unfortunate knack of getting myself into these situations."
Maker's breath? This man carried some sort of religion then, not that that was a bad thing, she herself had religion, but when you came from a world of angels and demons, that was a bit unavoidable.
She slowed to a stop, sliding her arm out of his and turning to face him, a brilliant smile gracing her features. "It's not often that the lady gets to rescue the knight," she teased, but it was soft and good natured.
Her sword was on her hip as usual, but unlike the man, she didn't bother with heavy armor, it was too constructing, though much less shiny.
Ambushed!
