TEST DRIVE MEME - TU SHANSHU EDITION!
Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
    → Tag around with everyone!
→ Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
→ Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
  1. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!

  2. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?

  3. Where There's A Will, There's A...?
The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...

  4. SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE!
The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market.

  5. WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options can also be what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting, and would prefer a more 'dear-mun'-esque experience. Please specify in your post!

sure!

Which is why I'm the one who found you.

[There's no real heat in Zell's snark, nothing that suggests any real grudge in having to help Irvine. He's not really thinking of it in the same way Irvine is - and even if he were, it's unlikely he'd notice anyone's interest in him unless they spelled it out for him first - but in the end, Irvine is a comrade and friend and Zell doesn't have it in him to let him down.

Not intentionally, at least.

It figures, of course, that Irvine collapses into the first possible napping spot he sees; Zell's not even so mad about that except he's not sure which section they're even in or how far away the sections they need might be. On the other hand, doesn't seem like Irvine's planning on moving too far and he'll probably hear any confrontation so maybe it won't be so bad.]

Then stay put while I figure something out.

[Which means hitting up the desk to ask after a map or anything at all useful for two guys lost and in need of answers and a space to crash. The former prove to be a little too vast or wrongly-detailed for their immediate needs but he does walk away with an answer towards the latter, something he seeks to signal to Irvine with a gentle kick at his leg.]

We're rollin' out. Got a new place to find answers.
reconjunction: (hat)

[In that time Irvine has slumped deeper into the chair, his hat over his face and Exeter on his lap. Even asleep, he holds it ready. In Galbadia, a soldier's best friend is either his sword or his gun.

[The kick wakes him easily and he props up the hat with a thumb to the brim, looking blearily out at Zell.]

Man, if ten minutes is all you need, I'm going to have to give you some pointers before you make your move on that pretty pig-tailed librarian.

[Please tell him it was more than ten minutes. He's almost willing to give up ... well, maybe his left arm ... for a bed. He stifles a yawn and gets unwillingly to his feet, shoving back the hat, Exeter resting on his shoulder.]

Where are we headed?

[The comment about the librarian back home earns a blank look as Zell opens his mouth to respond then decides against it, shaking his head a little. He has no idea what she has to do with anything here and right now he has more important things to think about.

Not that it should come as any surprise that he doesn't think about these things unless he has to and even then it takes a push.]

Apparently there's a place that deals in taking care of all of us who show up here without knowing how. Guess this must've been going on for a while if they need a place just for that but works out for us, I guess.

[And with that, he'll usher Irvine out so they can head for the supposed Welcome Centre. He's not sure what it'll entail but if it's even close to anything like Garden, it's the best place for them.]
