 hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the bi-monthly edition of the CR Meme! It's been a busy six months since the Foreigners have returned to Keeliai, and even in that span of time, plenty of things have changed! Here's a good place For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. CURRENT STATUS: He's still sad and still gay. I don't know what to tell you. He might be Plotting some Plotty Plans if I can get my butt together.
CR GOALS: I'd love to get more CR for him, especially in terms of positive CR. I am...kind of over negative CR where Gene is concerned.
CHARACTER: Jackie Ma
CANON: Sleeping Dogs
CURRENT STATUS: The only Foreigner member of the Snakes, looking vaguely to escape his life of crime.
CR GOALS: More people to play him like a prize fiddle! Seriously, he's so easily-manipulated it is laughable.
CHARACTER: Deon Wilson
CANON: CHAPPiE
CURRENT STATUS: Currently employed by Stark Industries on the tram line and such.
CR GOALS: MORE ROBOT BROS. Seriously I want ALL the CR with him. ALL the science CR.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL):
Gene: Still gay af. He's mellowing out, and might be losing some of his terrible, terrible edge. I aim to fix that. With the advent of Pepper, he's beginning to remember what it's like to have friends.
Jackie: Found a niche in the Snakes, since gang life is familiar, and he's really been struggling with trying to fit in with either the Snakes or the Foreigners. He's a bit bereft.

CHARACTER: Zelgadis Graywords
CANON: Slayers
CURRENT STATUS: Zel's been trying to figure out what he can do here. So station-keeping. He's mentioned to Shay that he has some naval knowledge that can help Shay, and I think he noted interest when Yuri mentioned his guild. Mostly he wants to develop some type of goal. He's healed a bit from the loss of the baby-turtles and 'Asti's betrayal, so he might start to get restless and more driven to questionable magical pursuits.
CR GOALS: Developing existing CR into something deeper would be nice, but so is making new friends. Or contacts, at least. I'd like to have Zel get a bit more underhanded, which he's been holding back with because of his knowledge that he can't run from problems here. So a mentor in that area might help. Negative CR would be okay as well: Zel needs to be a bit more abrasive.
CHARACTER: Iroh
CANON: Avatar: the Last Airbender
CURRENT STATUS: Well, I was going to have Iroh finally re-open his tea shop. He's going to be thrown for a loop when Zuko disappears again, but he'll cope. (He knows Zuko will be just fine at home, but he likes having his nephew around.) Really, Iroh is good at that slice of life stuff.
CR GOALS: More people to uncle at. Especially now that Zuko is home. Board game partners, tea afficiados and music night participents. People who can be surprised that Iroh isn't just the harmless old man he appears to be. Iroh tends to be my most stable character so he can be hard to play as a main character, but a wonderful supporting character. And he likes looking after people.
SCENE-DOS: I don't really have any big wants, besides deeper CR. I want a better understanding of how my characters fit in to Keelai and the Foreigner community, such as it is.
SCENE-DON'TS: I tend to have trouble being really mean to Iroh. Okay, yes, I did get him mugged a couple of months ago, but I'm more likely to connect him with reacting to the rest of the cast. (Zel is fair game.)
ADDITIONAL: I'm traveling next month, so who even knows what schedule tags will be on.

CHARACTER: Erskine Ravel
CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant
CURRENT STATUS: Officially working as the janitor (aka cleaning faery) at the Midnight Hotel. Very recently unchained after spending the better part of June shackled to Skulduggery. Still forgetful/erratic/unstable thanks to some bad things that occurred shortly before his arrival in Keeliai, but he's making a show of it by being as over-the-top on the network as he can. Which reminds me... we're about due for some more network spam. B)
CR GOALS: More flirting. Actually developing some of the newer CR he's made on the network, for better or worse. Seriously, I don't even care if our CR is negative--Ravel tends to skew things negatively just by virtue of being himself, at least once people get to know him. And I'm okay with this. Although it would be nice to have a real friend or two that isn't Anton LOL. New CR, old CR, antagonistic CR, positive CR, CUTE AND FLUFFY CR, I want it all. All of it.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL):
SCENE-DOS: I love love love threading out prose, but I'm actually pretty happy doing network things with Ravel too, which is strange for me. Be mindful, however, that Ravel is basically two different people depending on whether you're talking to him face to face or over the console/radio. I love angst (and Ravel is an angst muffin let me tell you), I love fluff, I love silly things (which he also does quite well), I love letting him flirt with anything that moves. I'm even really enjoying his negative/less-than-positive CR so basically throw anything at me and I will roll with it.
SCENE-DON'TS: I suck at introductions and learning about other people's worlds and all of that... really formative stuff. BUT I'M TRYING TO GET BETTER? /claws face

CHARACTER: Raine Sage
CANON: Tales of Symphonia
CURRENT STATUS: Settling. In a good way. With the apartment and the work at the Healers' Guild and her family Raine is beginning to feel like this is home.
edit: And by this I apparently mean she's going to be losing her brother this month so ow. She's not going to be a happy camper.
CR GOALS: I'd like to branch out with her a little bit, I think. Deepening current CR is basically a given, I always love it, but I'd love more excuses for Raine to talk to more people and enthuse over science and magic and archaeology.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): The biggest change since awakening is, I think, aforementioned settling. I mean, apart from the whole recognizing she's in love thing, Raine's I think actually relaxed a bit. She's secure, in herself and in her position and her relationships, and while she doesn't mean to lapse in vigilance she's happy. Except when she has to yell at people.
Six months from now, she's very aware that she could lose everyone she loves here without warning, but provided the worst doesn't happen, she means to be helping everyone she reasonably can and building a life here, both professionally and personally.

CHARACTER: China Sorrows
CANON: Skulduggery Pleasant
CURRENT STATUS:
hating everythingI mean. She's sitting on information, looking out for her own interests, and attempting to acquire leverage on everyone who matters. And generally snarking, when applicable.CR GOALS: She's been shaken up a bit, but could probably do to have her life rearranged some more. Just because she likes comfort doesn't mean she gets to have it. I'm super here for people she can spar with -- verbally, mostly -- and people who will not let her get away with what she's been getting away with. Also, people who stir those weird feelings called friendship.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): Two big adjustments. First, no one here is prepared for her! It's hilarious what she can get away with when no one's familiar with her tricks. Second, her resources are... being built up from scratch. She's having to start over, basically. Which she would have had to do anyway, but even so.
Over the next six months she aims to learn all of the things, hoard all of the information, and generally get comfortable.

Their CR is interesting. Raine treats him more or less like she would any of the rest of her students -- teenagers with more idealism than common sense, who are mostly not good at taking care of themselves. So, while she might respect his judgment in some cases, when it comes to sickness and wounds... less. She just expects him to be dumb about that because literally everyone is, I'm sorry XD; Though he sort of pleasantly surprised her with that last time?
More China and Akito stuff would be nice. Spending time together. Hmmmmm. Probably if he watches her interact with other people long enough he'll pick it up, and as things go on she will eventually evolve into sarcasm about 90% of the time... :P

CANON: Tales of Vesperia
CURRENT STATUS: Hermit went to wander and ended up annoyed. So done with teens trying to tell him what to do.
CR GOALS: I HAVE NO IDEA. He needs a bit more poking out of his anti-people tendencies, so IDEALISTS should apply here. Always finding a way to bug his current CR ... or well, be bugged by them, that also works.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): LET ME JUST CHIN-HANDS OVER HIM. He's gotten interested in the change of Terca Lumireis rather than being pissed about it having to change. Watch out, if-when he gets castmates he can bug about what they did, he is getting invested.
Duke sees himself finding a place to actually stay, because in six months it ought to be winter and he doesn't want to deal with that. Beyond that, he's not particularly interested in guessing?
SCENE-DOS: ALL THE THINGS? Huge mage nerd pretending not to be a mage nerd. Duke goes either way whether action or prose works better, because he's an ass and flips between sentences and single word answers. Face to face generally works best!
SCENE-DON'TS: Duke still is iffy on network posts. Still all that 'he can leave the network and no one can follow him badgering him to talk like an action post' stuff.

CHARACTER: Pepper Potts
CANON: Iron Man: Armored Adventures
CURRENT STATUS: Still getting used to this crazy place. Also still getting over Gene and Tony being 'Gene and Tony'. And given all the weird things going on, she's also really bent on getting into the action so she can finally arrest someone.
CR GOALS: I'd like her to meet more people in person and work on figuring out where she stands with both foreigners and kedan alike. Given she's only been here for a month and a bit, I also would like to continue developing current CR further. I am also not opposed to some vaguely romantic CR so she can stop moping over Tony.
SCENE-DOS: I'd like to get on the overall plots a bit more, especially the SI-related stuff. A chance to use her armor would be cool, even if it's just for fun. I'd prefer more in-person interactions than network atm, just because I have a lot of them already.
SCENE-DON'TS:Uh. Nothing particular comes to mind, honestly. Just no excessive amounts of gore and violence, I guess?

CHARACTER: Wanijima Akito
CANON: Air Gear
CURRENT STATUS: Feeling very guilty and stupid because of how he handled his mugging
(which was pretty good but OOPS POLITICS), then the situation with Meisheng, Anton, and Malcil. That's a guilt-inducer too. He actually feels no guilt over getting his lorell'an blade SORRY GUYS but he does feel stupid that he didn't pick up on the fact that it would be a set-up (though how the heck was he supposed to know that the seller wouldn't get in shit for doing something illegal? SO DUMB oh well).Hm... He's still homesick as always, but it's actually a lot less severe than it has been the past few months. Father's Day was a bad one until he dragged Callaghan around. Since then he's mostly been focused on trying to be a kid, albeit an independent one with a business. Speaking of which, now that his contract with Stark Industries is over he'll be working a little bit harder to make up the difference in income.
Also instead of training with his own Air Trecks, he's switched over to Gazelle's. Still as quick as ever, but people who notice would see him working on a very different fighting style.
CR GOALS: MORE FAMILY-TYPE RELATIONSHIPS. Callaghan is such a trash dad but he's a way better father figure than his actual father was so pff. Meisheng is the closest he's got to a mother figure and Alayne is a big sis ♥ Definitely always looking for more familial relationships since they really ground Akito and help him be a bit more careful with the consequences of his actions.
Also very interested in more student/teacher relationships. At the moment he's got Callaghan lessons on the regular, and with China every so often. Kedanese lessons with Ayin semi-regularly (if that's still a thing).
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): The biggest change since Awakening is his self-confidence. He feels much more sure of himself, though when he's uncertain he feels it a lot more strongly now. He isn't afraid to defend himself or his feelings - especially when it comes to Kaito. He's the first to admit he was a shitty father and that he was treated horribly, but that doesn't make him love Kaito any less.
He's also infinitely more confident (and proud! - which is a huge step for him) of his fighting skills and ability to physically protect the people he cares for. He's more open about his feelings with the people he trusts, and because of the relationships he's developed he's become much more keenly focused on the consequences of his actions. Even if he still kind of sucks at that part.
He's also learned that he loves learning. And that he's actually smart. Really smart, according to Callaghan. It makes him proud and think he might like to go to Callaghan's world if given the chance since it sounds like great fun.
With what he's learned he started the handset upgrades with the help of the other science nerds, and they should be done by the end of the month. /o/

SCENE-DON'TS: I have trouble with negative CR with Akito, since he's less irrational about it than Agito is ahaha... It makes it fun! Though since this month my grandmother is dying I would prefer to keep things a bit more upbeat.

CHARACTER: Hiro Hamada
CANON: Big Hero 6
CURRENT STATUS:
LAST MONTH Tadashi and Aqua were mugged and got beat up, and Hiro and Xion went on an adventure [x] a little ways into the sewer that did not end well. Thread is not finished/has not been posted to the comms as of yet, but tl;dr is that the woman who got away from the mugging was found dead in the tunnel, and Hiro and Xion ran into some serious booby traps when they tried to go deeper. So that little series of road bumps kinda slowed down the opening of the Mechanics' Shop thing.
THIS MONTH will have a whole bunch of things going on, including:
1. Shop opening. Tentatively calling it something like Wrench in the Works Salvage & Repair. Maybe there'll be a stupid jingle to go with it. Maybe they'll make Tadashi sing it on the network. In front of everyone.
2. Rice cookers! To coincide with the grand opening, there will be 7 (7!) rice cookers up for grabs that Hiro reverse engineered from Aunt Cass' rice cooker last month. These will be about 25 juulan apiece for a limited time (you could buy one later, like a month or so from now, but they'll be double the price). Repair orders and parts and other stuff will also be half off in honor of opening day. If your character would like a rice cooker, sign up below. PCs and I guess maybe NPCs are allowed to sign up; any leftovers will go to miscellaneous unnamed kedan buyers.
3. Deoreo, the soul-gemmed kedan who was staying in the Hamada & co. household, will vanish on the 10th as per the July itinerary. Hiro will actually freak out a little about this since he kinda sorta ended up making friends with Deoreo despite his initial reluctance, and after what happened to Tadashi & Jintou plus the other vanished kedan...yeah. There will be a network post that will go up about this since I think Deoreo was one of the few kedan under Foreigner care.
CR GOALS: New CR would be good. Also potentially getting a little more word around about the microbots and their connection re: the masked thief from a couple months ago.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): Hiro's only been here four months yo. Shit's been weird but his brother's here and that's great. Up until the past month he's been staying out of the big shaking and movings of politics and muggings and whatnot, but after Tadashi fell into the line of fire he'll be taking a much keener interest in what's going on with the turtle at large.
SCENE-DOS: Let's do some more plot stuff and so on and so forth. I prefer action tags but will accommodate prose if need be. Logs or network, doesn't matter.
SCENE-DON'TS: Let's level off on hard SOL stuff, tbh. One or two threads here and there are fine, but I prefer if there's some kind of point re: character development, at the very least, so please talk to me and let's plot some more concrete ideas!

CURRENT STATUS: Just got here, still settling in, crushing hard on Robert Callaghan.
CR GOALS: All of it. Come to meeee. Scientists, robots and kids mainly. Villains he can give the benefit of the doubt to.
SIX MONTH SPECIAL (OPTIONAL): Thomas just got here! But he's made friends with scientists and wants to hang with them.
SCENE-DOS: I'm a bit of a slow tagger, but I'm fine with both prose and actionspam. Thomas misses his own kids dearly, and barring anyone apping Rock, Roll or Blues (or any of his Robot Masters) he'll probably be happy to interact with kids, particularly robot kids or ones who like science.
He also is interested in getting some colleagues -- other scientists, definitely, but also just other educated people to have interesting discussions & debates with.
SCENE-DON'TS: Mmmmm nothing comes to mind right now? I will let you know if something comes up in plotting that I'm uncomfortable with.
