How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
→ Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles. → Tag around with everyone! → Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle! → Maybe even RESERVE so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace! Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!
Dramatic Chase Sequence! You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
Where There's A Will, There's A...? The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. Hopefully you're not the type to daydream about terrible things befalling people you don't like...
SECRET UNDERCOVER MODE ACTIVATE! The three major kedan families all have their own agendas, and you've chosen to entangle yourselves with one (or more!) of them. Are you hoping to shift the balance of power? Gain some favours? Perhaps you're on a mission to bring a criminal to justice, or maybe you just want to get the cream of the crop from the black market.
WILDCARD! Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options can also be what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting, and would prefer a more 'dear-mun'-esque experience. Please specify in your post!
After Steve disappeared, Howard felt like he'd lost a part of himself. It was more than just the fact that he'd helped Erskine with Steve's procedure. Steve wasn't some creature that he'd helped make like a damn Frankenstein. He'd thought of Steve like, well, a friend. Steve was a good man, one that they didn't make them like anymore. Others saw Captain America, the hero. He just saw Steve, the man.
After a year of searching for the plane and their frozen soldier, Howard had given up. It wasn't by choice. If he had his way, he would have kept looking. At least, until someone decided to frame him. Other than Jarvis and Peggy, Howard had nobody in his corner. He couldn't really blame people. It wasn't like he let anyone in. Even Jarvis and Peggy didn't know it all, but they knew the most. Trying to find the people fencing his work had been what seemed like an insurmountable task, but one he was willing to take up head on.
He had to. He couldn't let people do terrible things with his work. That was his job. It was a case of what would Steve do.
So, when Howard woke up, feeling disoriented and confused, he should have been more surprised than he was. Sitting up, he rubbed the back of his head, wondering if he'd been hit by something. Or someone. Thankfully, it was late enough that he didn't need his sunglasses. After shaking off the dizzy feeling and taking a walk around the area, Howard found himself in a place he knew best.
The bar. Now, if only he could get himself a drink.
Tony doesn't spend a lot of time in Keeliai's bars, for a couple reasons. One, they're all kedan-owned and there aren't usually a lot of foreigners hanging around to talk with, and, two, the occasional foreigners don't tend to be from his social circle anyway. Also, he's discovered that Extremis makes him pretty much immune to anything except the very focused application of very hard liquor. It seems kind of silly to pay extra for drinks that don't have any more effect on him than fizzy water.
But he does stop by Korra's old place sometimes, just for nostalgia's sake. They still have good bar snacks. He happens to be passing by this evening, and decides that he could go for a little something to eat and a quick drink. He steps inside, glances around the room— and stops dead in the doorway.
He blinks, and stares harder, seriously wondering if his glitchy soul gem is giving him hallucinations. The face of the man at the bar is familiar. Very familiar. A couple decades too young, but unmistakably...
The first thing that Howard noticed was that this bar was not like any other bar he'd been in. They didn't seem to want him there, till he offered to pay very well. Even still, he didn't try to charm anyone, preferring to just drink his sake and observe. Just the fact that they had sake made him wonder where he was. And the snacks weren't bad.
His head tilted to the side and he turns around, raising an eyebrow at the young man in front of him. "Dad? I think you got the wrong guy, kid. I..." His voice trailed off and he looked at him. He couldn't explain it, but the kid looked like he did when he was younger. Not a twin, but there were likenesses that he recognized, remembered from growing up with his dad. Not that there were many pictures, but they had one or two.
It was more than that, too. Waking up somewhere strange. Not being sure where he is. Now, there's a kid calling him dad? "What's your name?"
"I'm— you—" Your future son's brain is rebooting, please hold.
"Are you Howard Stark?" Tony finally manages to ask. First things first. He'll answer the other man's question once he figures out if he really is who he thinks he is. "Founder of Stark International? Or, uh, Stark Industries?"
It's possible this Howard is from a different universe as well as a different time— a fact that Tony is aware of, but for some reason doesn't find as weird as the time thing. Seeing a younger version of his dad like this is seriously freaky.
