How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell! Dramatic Chase Sequence! You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...? Where There's A Will, There's A...? The Life and Dreaming Planes have been merged, and sometimes what start out as wishful thinking becomes lured into reality. That slick new motorcycle or pile of kingly treasure you were just daydreaming about? Surprise! Though it may only stay for a short while before it disappears again, so make it count. "A few days, at the most," Haytham mused, eyebrow lifting as he studied the other's body language. Something was off. "How long has it been for you?"

Though he had a feeling it was much longer than himself.

"Two months, give or take." He replies, shrugging a shoulder gently. "They say the phenomenon that brings us here can bring us from different points in time." It's said, matter-of-factly. "What's the last thing you remember, sir?"

Haytham frowns outright then. Two months?

"I see." Even more unsettling than the fact that they were on the back of a giant turtle, honestly. "You persuaded me to spare the Achilles's life. I shot him and we left him in that god forsaken place to return home." Haytham pauses before glancing away from Shay towards the water again. "You?"

A slight frown. He can't remember that.

"Liam's death." He's assuming that Haytham is a bit ahead. He follows Haytham's gaze. "How much time is between us?"

"Not much, surprisingly. That happened just before you came to find me and talk me out of killing your former teacher," Haytham said in a drawl though he was a bit wary of this entire situation. Why were they from different points in time? How was such a thing even possible? "What I cannot understand is how you have been here two months and yet I was just with you prior to my arrival here."

"I don't pretend to understand it, sir. There's a higher power at work, here." He frowns. "Magic in nature. And I wouldn't say such a thing unless I experienced it myself."

He shakes his head. "Keelial is... an interesting place."
