Hello! I am Samm and I am not a fan of green eggs and ham, and I'm bringing in this grumpy hermit from Tales of Vesperia - Duke Pantarei.

For anyone canonblind, he's this random NPC who makes cryptic comments - if you find him - then helps and hinders the heroes at random. And then he goes off to save the world because it needs it and... his plan wouldn't have been pretty.

Which is why he'll be arriving all beat up. Oops.

I feel like i saw an episode while doing something else. Like possibly reading and someone was watching tv because it's starting to look familiar the more i think about it

or maybe it's my brain being weird. ~who knows~

A lot of people actually have, I'm finding! More than I would have expected tbh. It got a syndicated run on Cartoon Network about a year after the series ended on YTV (it's a Canadian show). The art style tends to stick in people's memory.
