GUYS GUYS I REMEMBERED THE BIMONTHLY MEME IN THE CORRECT MONTH LOOK AT ME GO

hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the spring edition of the CR Meme! Now that we've gotten settled into the new storyline, it's time to start heating things up in the big turtle city. For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. CHARACTER: Aqua
CANON: Kingdom Hearts
PERSONALITY: Aqua is polite, kind, patient, and overall just a good person. She's also tough as nails and holds very closely to her morals, and she will defend her friends to the last. A bit of a warning: she's slightly stuck on the light = good, darkness = bad thing due to her upbringing, but in a more 'nudge people who are leaning towards darkness back the other way' sense.

CURRENT STATUS: Currently Aqua's settling in quite well. She'll be taking Xion on as a pupil to the ways of the Keyblade at some point in the month (currently happening in an on-going thread), and she's also working at the Healer's Guild and will be helping as Anton's assistant at the Midnight Hotel (also an ongoing thread). Busy busy busy!
CR GOALS: Officially adopt take on Xion as an apprentice. Solidify existing CR, meet some new faces, wave a giant key around and get questions about it, the like. Also it's looking like Aqua's going to get tangled up at least a little in the soap opera thanks to Genis, so that'll be fun!

I would also love some negative CR, but with Aqua that may be tricky until she's more established and has a stronger network. She's not the kind of person to hold grudges, barring a few exceptions (re: Vanitas). Basically, if she doesn't like you she'll simply avoid you unless you've persistently and repeatedly antagonized her friends, family, or are attempting to pull something that would really mess with the universe as a whole.

SCENE-DOS: I can go for either prose or action, with no strong preference in one direction or another. I'd like to expand Aqua's network for one, solidifying the relations she's already established and forging new ones. Also I'd love any opportunity for actiony stuff, be it sparring or helping to clean up a mess some Foreigner started or what have you. I'm actually quite impressed that there hasn't been some kind of horrible robotic uprising yet in Keeliai
SCENE-DON'TS: It depends, really. For prose threads, I much prefer having some kind of vagueish goal to work towards, or at least some kind of action occurring. Slice-of-life where it's just aimless talking is likely to lose my interest, but heavier discussions that will leave impressions are fair game.

4TH WALL PLANS: I may or may not be toying with the idea of bringing a certain beanpole to the event to generally be confused and/or snarky, just for fun

Hey there, I've got a guy who can... kind of be a pain in the ass at times, I will be the first to admit—but he has a lot of inner darkness he's been struggling with for a long time that's only recently been able to get any progress made due to people trying to nudge him in the right direction. He tends to do well with older sister types that are patient, persistent and optimistic about his capability to redeem himself and become a better person. He could use a positive influence in-game since his usual ones aren't here, if you'd be interested in something?

Oh yes, that sounds like fun! Aqua is definitely the patient older sister type, and she also believes in supporting those who are struggling with inner turmoil (see: Terra). She'll definitely encourage him in the right direction! Any ideas for when or where you'd like to set up a meeting? Aqua hasn't had much use for the network, but she does spend time around the Healer's Guild and the Midnight Hotel, so they could meet in one of those two places, perhaps?

Hotel works! He lives on the third floor in room 22, and he's also been doing accounting stuff for Anton to pay for it. It shouldn't be hard to arrange a run-in, especially now that his quarantine is over. That drove him nuts.

Darkness = bad, huh

I have a necromancer who's going to lose some control of his darkness sometime this month

Does Aqua want to try 'exorcising' him

Oh hell yes and that will also come with later chidings about putting oneself so close to the darkness and see this is why it's bad you lose control and it consumes you

her version of 'exorcise' is 'beat the darkness back with force' though

I want very much for Sokka and Aqua to become friends. But I am totally thinking those two can be sparring buddies. :D Sokka needs sword practice!

Dude they are totally already friends, Aqua is in the group of KH protagonists who bond with others with ease (she's like third place after Ven and Sora)

BUT YES SPARRING PRACTICE and come to think of it, Aqua's combat style is probably the closest to what Sokka would know out of the KH canon since she's definitely a finesse lady when it comes to physical strikes rather than bludgeoning.

Yeah, that sounds like Sokka pretty close. He's definitely not the strongest, but he's the more clever of sorts. :D

I will have to get a log for this when I get around to my catch-all once I manage to catch-up with all the stuff that went up while I was gone!

All the Aqua and Stork things tell her about crystals and Cyclonia and how many horrible things there are that can kill you and she can tell him about the Unversed and darkness so there's even more stuff to be afraid of

Excellent and she can tell him about Neoshadows (she doesn't know that's their name, all she knows is 'black humanoid shadow monsters with glowing yellow eyes mindlessly attacking her to consume her heart')

they should also trade stories about exiles in hostile locations
