GUYS GUYS I REMEMBERED THE BIMONTHLY MEME IN THE CORRECT MONTH LOOK AT ME GO

hey! it's time for a cr with me meme! Welcome to the spring edition of the CR Meme! Now that we've gotten settled into the new storyline, it's time to start heating things up in the big turtle city. For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.' We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in. ALSO this month, we have a special addition called "4th Wall Plans", in case you want to talk about or be enabled into some ideas you have for the upcoming April 4th wall event. CHARACTER: Jack Frost
CANON: Rise of the Guardians
PERSONALITY: Winter spirit dork, he loves kids, he's grown up a lot in the time he's been in Keeliai though. He has the a pretty big drive for helping others, and sometimes that gets him into trouble. Overall he's pretty mellow.
CURRENT STATUS: He's working full time at the Welcome Center now that it's up and running again, and figuring out how to use it for new arrivals with the changes in the city. He's dating Zatanna, and I want him to start reconnecting with his kedanese bitties now that relations between the kedan and the Foreigners is settling.
CR GOALS: Jack is my character who's good for talking to anyone, so I'm open for any kind of CR. He doesn't really have a lot of negative CR, and while I'm not actively looking for some, a little tension here and there is fun?

CHARACTER: Bakura
CANON: Yuugiou Duel Monsters
PERSONALITY: Cranky ancient thief, part-time evil villain, full-time ass. He's pretty cynical, especially lately given what's happened since the end of the Malicant, but he occasionally surprises by acting like a real person AKA a decent human being. Pretty much, it's a coin flip chance which attitude you get.
CURRENT STATUS: Bakura's been starting to find some footing in the city and hating everyone just a little bit less in the last two months. He's acquired Korra's old dojo in the Wood Sector, since it had been passed to Ryou and then Ryou disappeared, and reopened it for business; he's also living there as well. Pretty much that's occupying his days.
CR GOALS: He's kind of in a mental place where he's not actively seeking out interactions with people, so logically I want CR things that will MAKE him interact with new people! He's actually got about 50/50 mix of positive and negative CR at the moment, so I'm good with making either! The great thing about his current moods is that there's possibility for it to go anywhere.

CHARACTER: Stork
CANON: Storm Hawks
PERSONALITY: AHAHA WELL. Stork is a hyper-paranoid, very brilliant mechanical genius. He gets jumpy around everything that he thinks could be dangerous (which is almost everything) and very defensive of what he builds (even when he doesn't need to be). He is still very unhappy about being away from his ship and his squad, possibly in that order. Despite that, he's actually got a pretty snarky sense of humour, if a little morbid, and a not-entirely buried mother hen streak.
CURRENT STATUS: He's only been in Keeliai a few weeks, so everything is still new to him. He's living in the Midnight Hotel and looking for productive work, although he's been making little bits of juulan by starting to fix things, which is what makes him happiest anyway. When he gets enough funds, I think I'm going to have him pursue workshop space, whether in the Hotel's garage or somewhere in Metal -- I'm open to suggestions!
CR GOALS: ALL THE CR EVER. But really, I want him to meet other techie types. Stork runs more of the literal mechanics side and less so to computers, etc. So he'd be a good match-up for plotting for someone who wants to construct things but doesn't want to do it themselves. For non-tech types, he's a green alien thing-- there has to be SOMEONE who's curious about that! Basically anything that gives him (me) reason to talk about his background, because I shamelessly love writing worldbuilding and headcanon and such.

SCENE-DOS: I am equally good with prose or actionspam! Slightly preference for prose if it's a log scene, just because it flows better for me with descriptions, but I always match the starter.
SCENE-DON'TS: Can't think of anything in particular that I want to AVOID, but with my school schedule as it is, sometimes general chatter threads get dropped, so I prefer to have some kind of direction for the thread/log. Doesn't have to be SUPER SERIOUS PLOT!?! or anything, but if our chars are literally talking about handbag shopping or something, it's harder for me to prioritize when I start getting behind.

(That said, I'm going to try and manage my tagload better so that I'm NOT getting behind...)

4TH WALL PLANS: The 4th wall is happening during my exam week that wasn't planned at all nope ahem so I'm hesitant to make any kind of firm plans in case I'm busier than expected! However top contenders for dropping by would be Pitch Black (ROTG) whom I can't actually play here because I also play Jack, but still. And a possible reappearance of River Tam (Firefly). Maybe Eruka too, from Soul Eater, if I have time.

I was going to do a catch-all Log sometime later tonight. Want me to throw something in for the two of them heading to the park or something? It could start out as recon for possible sign posting areas for the Welcome Center, and they could run into all the bitties and not-so-bitties there!
