hey! it's time for a cr with me meme!
Welcome to the spring edition of the CR Meme! Now that we've gotten settled into the new storyline, it's time to start heating things up in the big turtle city.

For players who've joined us since our last meme, these ~bimonthly memes are our opportunity to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for your characters. Because of this, we do ask that you be as specific as you can when replying to this meme! 'Our characters should team up to moon Tu Yunxu' is more useful than 'omg tag me.'

We have two helpful sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to, and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill! We've also got a section for indicating what kinds of CR you're especially looking for, as well as types of threads you're not interested in.

ALSO this month, we have a special addition called "4th Wall Plans", in case you want to talk about ~~or be enabled into~~ some ideas you have for the upcoming April 4th wall event. Want to inflict extra chaos on Keeliai, but not sure who to bring? Link your muselist!

CHARACTER: Zatanna Zatara
CANON: Young Justice
PERSONALITY: Fun, flirty, and with an insatiable wunderlust for life...Zatanna's been a part of Keelai for longer than any other Foreigner, and it's shown. She's grown a lot. Possibly even matured (GASP). She's still managed to keep her sense of humor and positive way of ~~distracting~~ thinking, but she's also far more experienced and realistic than Day One
CURRENT STATUS: Living at the Welcome Center, Dating Jack Frost, Collaborating with a few like-minded individuals over this whole puzzle business, focusing on settling back into the City and helping newcomers in any way she can. Answering all the questions.
CR GOALS: She's easily the most social of the three, so I would love to get her out there and encountering some of the more recent additions. Her latest post was a good start, and I'm trying to think of some open posts that can offer her more opportunities. Maybe touching upon some of her Keelai past. Shops she'd visited, old NPCs and kedan locals ~~especially bitties~~ she'd known.

CHARACTER: Midii Une
CANON: Gundam Wing: Episode Zero
PERSONALITY: Severely Introverted, Midii is always willing to talk but difficult to trust. She's loved and lost...and loved again, and lost that too...in fact, a majority of her life (both canon & in-game) has been about having that fleeting glimpse of happiness before having that happiness taken away from her in some fashion. So she's regressed emotionally and quick to snap. But if treated with a decent amount of respect, she's open to intellectual conversations. They can even be pleasant.
CURRENT STATUS: Midii is one of the people who is actually pretty okay at the Hotel. Despite the slight craziness of people coming in and out all the time, she's taken on a more nocturnal schedule so she can wander around at night, when it's peaceful. Her current way of earning money is to do small odd jobs for businesses. It's not steady, but it's honest. And it gives her an excuse to wander the streets, trying to build up all the Intel she lost with a year's stay in the Dream realm.
CR GOALS: The girl needs more friends. Seriously. I'm perfectly okay with Negative CR, but it's almost too easy for her, so for once I'd like to focus on something a bit more positive. She's also 14 now, complete with teenage hormones and all sorts of growing pains she doesn't understand because there's nobody to explain it to her.

CHARACTER: Aya
CANON: Green Lantern: The Animated Series
PERSONALITY: Aya is young and far more rebellious than one might expect from an Artificial Intelligence. Her reactions are often surprisingly organic, and carry emotional ties behind it. That being said, she is still both highly intelligent and aware of this intelligence. Not to the point of bragging, but to the point where she has no need for false modesty and would rather get the job done than spend time allocating to someone of lesser knowledge. Oh, yeah, and anybody who questions her status as a real, living being? That's her one major sore spot.
CURRENT STATUS: Working for Zanru at Stark Industries. Being taught the meaning of Snowball Fights and their significance to certain Friendships by one Tony Stark. Current advocating for teaching more advanced computer classes and proposing theories to upgrade and improve Turtle-wide technologies. Also received a mysterious message, but baffled due to the fact that it is not any form of encryption code she would be familiar with.
CR GOALS: My favorite thing in the world is people teaching her about different customs and traditions. Holidays. Emotions. She has a lot of patience for stories.

SCENE-DOS: Networks are great for spontaneous interactions, though I am not above doing logs. If I have some pre-set plans; I find it a bit more difficult to tag into face-to-face interactions for some reason. Which isn't to say that I won't, just...Networks are definitely my preference for New CR.
SCENE-DON'TS: The only thing I ever ask to take into consideration are character ages. Zatanna is 17 going on 18, Midii is 14, and Aya is...complicated. Chronologically ~2, physically/emotionally ~17/18. Also, of the three, Aya is absolutely closed to anything romantic, though friendships are perfectly fine.

4TH WALL PLANS: I don't have any definitive plans, though possible considerations include Enzo Matrix, Phryne Fisher, and Hazel Levesque though I am also open to requests.

ADDITIONAL:

Slightly more kn topic though... thoughts on Midii meeting Stork? He's also got a room at the Hotel. I think it'd be pretty different from both Jack and Bakura, and he's closer in line with her preparedness habits than either of the others. Plus at 14, she's the same age as his squadmates were when they met.

I like this plan very much.

Would you like to do a lot or something of them meeting? She could be coming back from a job and run into him in the lobby.

WELL I was thinking, if Jack hasn't set her up with the keymaker for her padlock, or for some reason it fell through, he could make one for her, that's right up his alley. He's way more on the mechanical/building/crafting side of tech than the coding/computers/etc aspect.

We could do that!

Or she could have the one and if he sees it in her hand, that might make for a good conversation starter. A way to capture interest and find immediate commonality.

Ooh, that works too. Anton mentioned to Stork that the garage will be a good area for mechanics things, so I could add a starter in my log with him down there?

Perfect!

She doesn't know mechanics but she's used to hanging around mechanics so she wouldn't even feel out of place.

We had a thread way back with Raine and Midii that I actually really enjoyed and thought was very sweet. I don't know if that's something you'd enjoy following up as well, but Raine can provide big sister and/or friend, and is almost guaranteed to come at the interactions with respect, so... maybe?

Absolutely!

I was going to do a big catch-all log for all three girls sometime later this evening/tonight, so I'll be sure to add a few starter options so we can work out a way to get these two encountering one another again.
