And leave some of the main rooms untouched for historical purposes and to make it clear that things like the throne room are not being used by the Foreigners. And perhaps some of the larger rooms and gardens could be turned into public spaces. Even if they do decide to demolish the palace, he'll suggest leaving the main rooms as a museum for the city's residents.
