Yeah. Cinder Spires is the series name, the first book is called The Aeronaut's Windlass. I admit that a part of me is looking at that title and remembering he once said that steampunk is Alera's future... but I don't actually expect it to be a sequel series.
Yeah, some of the lack of sharing readership is that; I know for a fact a lot of people who love Dresden are not fans of Alera, and then again a lot of people I know who loved Alera got disenchanted with Dresden. The number of people I like who enjoy both is surprisingly small, just because of the very different stories and also the very, very different styles of writing he uses for them both.
A part of me would love to see it, too! And a part of me is afraid of it, mostly because I'm not sure how I'd do it... TV series more likely than movies, given the large scope of it and how spread out action is. I'd love to see how they'd do furycrafting on screen. On the other hand, look what happened to The Last Airbender.
