Hello everyone! I'm Blue, and I'm bringing in Carlos here from the Welcome to Night Vale Podcasts! For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Carlos is a scientist who has been working in the very strange and bizarre town of Night Vale. In fact he's kind of obsessed with science. Seriously, he's going to end up spending a lot of tim running around trying to research everything here.

His canon point is around episode 50, where he's been trapped in an otherworldy desert for a few weeks. So hey, at least it's not the first time he's ended up stuck in a whole different world!

He's also going to be rooming in the Metal Sector in Jin-Xian.

Eeee, you've read Kate Griffin's books? That is awesome! (I love her books so much, but even with me trying to convince everyone I know to read them the list of people who have is still sadly not that long)

And yes, I do have accounts for them! Matthew I played a little while back in Altered States, Sharon I have yet to play anywhere. I would still like to pick her up somewhere someday though, and I'd like to play Matthew again as well. So hey, if things go well here you never know, I might app one of them here one day :P

yeah, she's my favourite author! i have a matthew journal too and i've got a mostly written app and i'm currently eyeing another game as a possibility but i don't know if i have the time for another character

but oh gosh you should totally bring one of them here especially since the place is city sized so urban, but at the same time on top of a giant turtle so shouldn't it be rural

Ooh, awesome! And I can definitely get being a little hesitant about apping Matthew, he's not exactly an easy character to pick up! (I think I went a little crazy trying to write out his crazy-ass personality, and don't even get me started on trying to work our the mechanics of his magic...)

Actually, if you want help with resources I can share some of my notes if you like. Only said notes are...not at all written to ever be read by anyone else, and tend to be of the 'insanely long bullet points where I list every instance of magic in all the books' type. But yeah, I know I was at least greatly bemoaning the lack of any kind of wiki for the books!

I'll be able to tell better once I've gotten more of a feel for the game, but so far my gut feeling is that Sharon would work better here. (...There's totally room for turtle support groups, right? :P)

i did app him once a long time ago and while it didn't stick it does mean I have a personality already done to pick apart if need be. except this was way back when the neon court had just come out so i'm slowly plugging away at writing up a history for the minority concil.

but i'd love to see your long bullet points! the magic side of things is where i looked at it and went WHATEVER IT'S JUST MAGIC

oh yes i'd love to see a turtle support group. everyone needs a sharon run support group in their lives

I think I have ridiculous history notes somewhere too...but having the personality done at least makes it a bit easier! I think with Matthew the tricky thing is that *all the sections are tricky*, so it can definitely be overwhelming!

Awesome! Although you may regret that once you see them, haha. But when it comes to my characters magical/supernatural abilities, for some reason I just always have to try and figure out how the hell it works. Which can be tricky, in the cases of characters whose abilities don't make any sense, and/or keeps contradicting itself...

Of course they do! Complete with tea and biscuits! (Maybe turtle-shaped biscuits)
