Wan allowed himself to guided but rolled his arm out of Luke's grip once they were far enough way to not be heard by the merchant. When it was explained, Wan actually felt a little mixed on it. On the one hand, the man hadn't been allowed to act on his own thoughts. On the other, the man had been out to cheat Wan out of two very hard earned coins.

And it wasn't like Wan was above stealing. But that wasn't the same as forcing someone else to think differently. It wasn't the same as actually convincing them. And that was what decided Wan's response, "You shouldn't do that. Not for something like this. Maybe to get someone out of being unfairly punished or keep them from being banished from the city, but not over some coins. I saw him take the money. I could have convinced him to not cheat me."
