+1 Giant red demon guy

Hey, guys! This's Ash, current player of Raphael (meanandgreen), bringing in Hellboy from the comics of the same name. I had him running around here back when the game first opened, but it's been the better part of a year since he's been on the turtle. He'll be returning with all his memories intact, so the minute he's back, he'll be out and ready to do everything he can to defeat Malicant and help send the Foreigners home. I'll be throwing him into all the missions I can ASAP, and I'm thinking of having him volunteer his time with the Foreigner unit of the police force.

Otherwise, HB's a pretty genuinely nice guy. For a seven-foot red dude with a tail, he's about as down to Earth as they come. He's a fan of classic movies, traveling, and booze, and has a sense of humor drier than the Sahara. He's fluent in five languages (four modern and one dead), smokes like a chimney, and though he carries a gun, he can't hit the broad side of a barn to save his life.

Far as supernatural powers go, he's super strong and practically indestructible. Shoot him, stab him, beat the ever-living crap out of him, but he will always fall down nine times and get up ten.

I'm super excited to have a character that's actively involved in the game plot again! I'm gonna have to hold off on posting with him until I get off from work on Thursday, but in the meantime, feel free to add me on Plurk at willowslament.

oh man, I have to say that if Akito sees him in person he'll think he was the coolest thing ever, and be a little bit or a lot sad that Agito wasn't around to freak out over how awesome HB is ;3;

Ha! That's really cute, actually. I'm hoping to throw up a log of Hellboy milling around Keeliai come Thursday, so definitely feel free to hit that up.

HB will probably just do everything he can to convince him he's "just some guy". He's nothing special, he swears!

I'll keep an eye out for the log! My school shut down two weeks ago unexpectedly, so RL is a bit cray for me atm. Please forgive me if I'm a bit late to tagging!

Yeah, I'm still trying to decide whether he'd actually go through with it or not. HB's got a little problem with authority sometimes, so it might not be the best match. He's already been arrested twice, and he's just one of those guys that's used to being above the law.

Maybe something will happen that'll convince him otherwise, but working for Evandau is just not high on his list of priorities right now.

If it helps any, Costigan is in charge of the foreigner division and he's not huge on authority either and would butt heads with HB in all the best ways.

I'm thinking maybe we should thread something out, see where it goes. Maybe if he met Costigan outside the force he'd consider it. Personally, I'd freakin' love to have Hellboy on the force, I'm just still on the fence about how IC it would be for him to join up.

If he thought there was a chance joining would help him get some inside information, I think he'd consider it. The problem is he literally just quit the BPRD two years ago partly because he didn't agree with some of the decisions being made by the higher-ups. And considering his history with Evandau...

I guess it's a little complicated.

I understand completely and am always a big fan of prioritizing what's IC for the character where possible. I'd love to thread he and Costigan and go from there. Maybe on a mission or something a little more than running into each other at a bar / on the street / what have you?

Alternatively, they could be trying to break up the same gang or something?

A mission would honestly be more his style (and mine). Maybe we could cook up something to propose to the mods for a player-run mission. It's something I'll have to put a little thought into, and if you have any ideas, definitely let me know.
