Slow note + plot note!

Hey all.

First off, sorry I've been slow; life suddenly hit me with a ton of bricks. I'm moving soon and things related to that will keep me slow all summer, truthfully, but I will be here and I will be doing things! If I have to take hiatus, I will, but I'll be around.

And on which note, some plot!

Septimus here is very pleased by the fact that there was legitimate progress made in the attack, and is officially tired of just sitting around. He's got plans to start reaching out to the various people who have some moderate organization within themselves or done other useful things related to it, as well as making it public knowledge that he's going to try getting this together. I'm already making a list of people this will include, but if you specifically want your character involved, or you've got plans or already established some kind of organized something (Aerial Corps, dojo, etc., looking at you guys) or intelligence gathering, etc., let me know!

So how's about starting to actively organize to team up for taking on Mally? IC post about it will go up soon!

Zelgadis is connected with both the Aerial Corps and the hospital.
Tazendra has no connections, but I'd like her to get involved as a magic user. She's terrible at organizing things, or I'd have her start rounding up other magic/special skill users for collaboration.

Iroh is staying out of it, but if folks need a meeting place...

Re: Damian... up to you? Sep would be startled and love it. A copy of Kyle's notes went to him, so if Damian knows, I can see that as adequate justification. I'd love this, but it's up to you.

A coin he's done some crafting on; drop it in water and tell it to find Septimus and it pretty much works as a video phone call--and not being technology, Malicant probably can't hack it. (Back in Alera this is precisely what the First Lord uses to keep in touch with his spies. /coughs Not that Sep's quite processing what he's doing...)

I'd love to get Solomon in on a more organised resistance. He's a shadow-wielding Necromancer and a good detective (he and Skulduggery are rivals). He's new to the turtle though, so Septimus might not have heard of him, but if he hears Septimus is organising something he's likely to go searching him out to offer his help.

Ooo, excellent. Septimus will definitely be interested in that! As for having heard about him, well. Sep isn't compulsive intel gatherer, but Solomon had an incident in the hospital. You can be absolutely certain that if it's happened on Sep's turf, he knows.

Akito won't offer to help in any fighting capacity (though if shit goes down he'll jump in, since he is more than capable of it), but he can help with secure deliveries and would definitely offer, if any delivery-contact hasn't been handwaved yet! o7

This actually should very much not be handwaved. 'Courier' has a lot of connotations for Septimus he's never discussed and he'd want to at least weigh Akito in person, so that should happen.

He's untrained (especially with human bodies) so he would be a volunteer! And assuming he's been learning some basic first aid, he would totally do combat-medic stuff.

Septimus has basically made it a policy that all the volunteers have the chance to learn first aid; if Walker has signed up for that, then definitely he's learned.

Excellent, I'll add him to the combat medic list and whenever you want some hospital CR, you'll get it. ^^

Hey, new player here, but my pup used to run a rebel organization in the universe she's from, so she's been kicking and screaming interested the moment she saw Septimus' post. :) She's new so she'll need time to get used to things as well as get to know everyone else, but she's willing to help out. She can also fight, though her skills are primarily for long-range fighting, and her magic is for support spells.

Incidentally, the core of her magic is the ability to alter the state of matter. Though I've put in the app that her powers will be toned down, maybe we can get mod permission eventually for her to be able to use her powers to help fix the network problem. Like, I dunno, she can "alter" the code so that a partition of the network is kept secure? (Just an idea since in canon, her powers allowed their universe to be altered and essentially become "real.")

Welcome! Always glad to see new people around here eager to get involved. And hey, long-range fighting and support spells are hugely important to combat strategy; frankly Septimus would be glad to have someone who isn't a melee fighter hanging around.

I'd talk to other people about the network problem, though Septimus would very much want to be kept abreast of it. But he is not a tech person in the least and after the console mess is mildly technophobic, too, or at least skeptical. Aya or one of the other techies would be the ones to go to--but then again, Septimus may be able to point her in that direction. In general talking to him is a pretty good idea. ^^ So feel free to tag him wherever you like, and he will be available for Shenanigans.
