Hello, chelonauts! Time to kickstart some new plots and schemes for our characters leading into our summer season.

When it comes to our CR meme, we do ask that you be as specific as you can! 'Our characters should team up to moon Evandau' is going to help establish an idea of what sort of CR you're looking for better than 'omg tag me.' We're still using the modified form, including the two sections titled "Current Status" for a summary of what your character's been up to and "CR Goals" for the plotting and discussion of gaps in your character's CR spectrum that you would like to fill!

CHARACTER: Rex Salazar
CANON: Generator Rex
PERSONALITY: Brave, loyal, outgoing, confident, rowdy and friendly. Rex can be a bit stubborn and temperamental at times (ask him how well he's taking to all this magic business on the turtle) and, as he is still a teenager, has his moments of being irresponsible, mischievous and downright dorky. While he can be a little exasperating to deal with at times, Rex is good at heart with the majority's best interests in mind. He can be very selfless and when the chips are down, is the sort of guy you can count on to have your back, whether it's in the middle of a fight or in the middle of the night if you just need someone to talk to because times have been rough.

CURRENT STATUS: At this time, Rex is still trying to fully adjust to life on the turtle, though he is getting there. He was around to help with search and rescue after the bombs went off last month, though he thankfully avoided inhaling and getting sick off bunch of spores. After Mike Weston showed up on the network seeking help regarding the console crash, Rex volunteered to act as a messenger and, depending on the progress Mike and Aya might make regarding the virus, also offered his aid as a technopath. While Rex is normally confident in his abilities, he does have some concerns about what Malicant might do to him or worse, with him, should the invading Big Bad gain access to his infused nanotech. In an effort to put some kind of a back-up plan in place, Rex confided in Avatar Korra, warning her of what may happen if his nanites are either taken over or go out of control. Finally and most recently, Rex joined the strike against the palace and ended up finding his way down into the prison alongside Bakura and Raine, where they discovered that every cell was empty with a whole lot of graffiti on the walls.

CR GOALS: Gaining new CR and developing existing CR! I'm always interested in having Rex make new friends and allies, whether it's with characters roughly his age or older characters who can act as mentors/trainers/parental figures. During downtime between missions/events, having him train with others is never a bad idea, but downtime can just as easily mean hanging out with friends and maybe having a little fun if possible to help deal with stress and tension.

Negative CR is fine too, though, so I'm never against getting Rex into disagreements or even full on shouting matches. He can be a bit of a handful at times and I don't expect him to get along with absolutely everyone.

SCENE-DOS: I'm good with network posts, action spam, logs and prose. In terms of subject matter, I'm good with just about anything as long as it has a purpose, whether it's in regards to plot, developing CR or both. That includes angst, drama, action, fluff and even romance.

SCENE-DON'TS: The only things I definitely want to keep Rex away from are age-inappropriate activities, as the kid's still seventeen.

I think June's going to get some feels injected to it. I'm all for these two getting into some deep CR.

And maybe into some trouble because teenagers

Yeeeaaaah, I think maybe so. I'm all for deep CR and feelsy chat sessions and things of that nature. And now that they're moving in together, stuff like that will be easy to initiate.

Also god yes. This souls in lanterns stuff may be a little too heavy for Rex to handle well at first, so he might look for an outlet of some sort.

Wow, I’m just reading all this. Korra’s going to be in the same boat with him. She doesn’t know nearly as much about soul related stuff as she should. So reckless outlets! \o/

You know, given all this stuff with her telling him about the Avatar State and reincarnation, he might suddenly ask at some point, "Wait, so if your soul or essence or whatever is in that lantern, doesn't that mean that all your past lives are in there, too...?"

That's a good question. Korra won't know, but I should ask if she could feel anything in that respect.
