TEST DRIVE MEME - TU SHANSHU EDITION!

Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:

1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
2. Tag around with everyone!
3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
4. Maybe even reserve so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!

1. A Chance Meeting at the Turtle's Head.
   Remember, being here causes a great sense of-- well, shall we say inner peace.
2. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
   Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtle shell!
3. Have Met Before? Because I Could've Sworn I've Seen You In My Dreams.
   Have you wandered into the realm of Dreaming via an archway in Keeliai? Here, everything is shaped to your character's individual mind. Dreams can be shared between characters and will result in a meshing of minds. These dreams can be positive or negative, depending on your character.
4. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
   You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children, or even one of the newest editions to Keeliai's menagerie, an incredibly affectionate turtle the size of a minivan! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
5. Darker Days
   Malicant's flexing his chaos muscle and causing havoc on the shell! You could run into some evil cultists in a dark alley, try to infiltrate the possessed palace, or work on hacking the console function back from the technopathic baddie.
6. WILDCARD!
   Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

[For a second that just- amazes him. 90 years into the future, and Spider-Man is still a big deal. Wow.

But it's not enough to distract him from hearing an all too familiar sort of "thwip" sound. Which gets Peter turning his head in the direction he heard it from, just in time to see a speck of familiar-looking material getting covered up by Miguel's foot.]

Was that-- Did you just--?

What are you going on about? [Miggy's at least a slightly better actor than Peter.]

Just now, you just- You just hid something with your foot.

[ofthefuture]

[Curls his toes and uses his talons to scrape free of the webbing and lifts his foot hoping that it all stays on his shoe and not the floor.]

[Peter looks back down at the floor and points - AHA!! - both at a speck of webbing that has remained on the floor, and at the few threads that seem to be attached to the bottom of his feet.]

That! That's webbing, I'd know it anywhere! [And then he looks up at Miguel with wide eyes.] You're-- You're--

Aw, shock.

[Sighs.] Fine, I'm the Spider-Man of 2099, at your service.

Wait a second. How do you know about webbing?

Holy... shock. [Because he's not really sure what else to say to that.

Aaaaand then there's that to talk about.] Oh, uh- I just. Spider-Man swings around Midtown all the time, so- so I see it a lot, like, all over the place.

[ofthefuture]

[Dryly.] Now you're getting it.

[Mmhmm sure.] You know, I never caught your name.

[Peter blinks, honestly confused.]

Wait... you wandered in here without- without knowing my name?

I should be asking you for your name! -- Or do you like, go by Spider-Man of 2099?

It's not like they had it on the front door, buddy. It was the first thing I saw in a while that looked real.

Miguel O'Hara, and you can drop the "of 2099" part. It's kind of redundant.

It... doesn't? Huh. I always thought it did.

[Miguel O'Hara. That rings... absolutely no bells.] ..Huh. Uh- Nice to meet you, I guess? I'm Peter Parker.

Hold up. You're the original Spider-Man? No way. You're tiny!

And people wonder why I have self-esteem issues.

Can you like, not say that so loud?! Or out loud at all? There are plenty of people around here who didn't see my face plastered across the news, and I'd like some respect for the mask.

No, I mean I met the original Spider-Man once. And his wife. And they were definitely older than you, kid.

Yeesh, calm down. Who the shock's here to hear it? Your books?

I don't know, there could be someone, okay?

[And then that hits him. Like a ton of bricks, it hits him right in the gut.]

..Oh. You're from that timeline.

It's-- It's kind of complicated. Around here, people come in from different worlds, different universes even... And some of are just from alternate timelines. You're from the one where Spider-Man, y'know, grows up, gets married, has kids and everything. Being here, I met one of those kids.

I, uh... [He shrugs a little.] I'm not that Peter Parker.

So you're a different Peter Parker, but you're still Spider-Man? Do you have the same abilities?

[nerdylilspidey]

I- I guess? I never met the guy, but from what I've heard, it seems that way. I got my powers a little differently, though.

[ofthefuture]

Speaking of... how did you get your powers, anyway?

[nerdylilspidey]

Uh.. I was bitten by a spider from OsCorp.

[ofthefuture]

I'm going to guess it wasn't an ordinary spider.

[nerdylilspidey]

It had been, y'know, genetically altered.

[ofthefuture]

Genetically alter the spider, you say? [Sorry Peter, you've lost him to the multiple possibilities of altering the spider first, than the person. After all, genetic manipulation is his specialty.]

Yeah... Not really sure what they were trying to do, but...
