TEST DRIVE MEME - TU SHANSHU EDITION!

Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
  1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
  2. Tag around with everyone!
  3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
  4. Maybe even reserve so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
  1. A Chance Meeting at the Turtle's Head.
Remember, being here causes a great sense of-- well, shall we say inner peace.
  2. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtleshell!
  3. Have Met Before? Because I Could've Sworn I've Seen You In My Dreams.
Have you wandered into the realm of Dreaming via an archway in Keeliai? Here, everything is shaped to your character's individual mind. Dreams can be shared between characters and will result in a meshing of minds. These dreams can be positive or negative, depending on your character.
  4. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children, or even one of the newest editions to Keeliai's menagerie, an incredibly affectionate turtle the size of a minivan! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
  5. Spring Fling!
Apparently the kedan take the "starting anew" aspect of spring very seriously and have started showing their appreciation for flowers and lovely weather by kissing everyone they across! Neither age nor gender seem to play a factor (though the children will instead get kisses atop their heads, because they're not that weird) but you might find yourself liplocked with a random stranger just for walking down the street.
  6. WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

[Waking up in this random place wasn't exactly what The Stalk had been expecting when she closed her eyes- considering her last memory is that of her certain own death. At least she thinks she had been dying? She guesses she could just have been heavily drugged and shipped off... wherever this is. Some planet full of fanatics, what does she care.

The guy she'd seen when she'd woken up (Emperor? something something) had told her about the dream realm and whatnot. She hadn't really been listening, you always get better information from people on the street than politicians that only feed you what they want you to believe. The fact that the Kedan people are alright with her Spider-like body doesn't even compute, not when her universe is used to stranger creatures.

So maybe this is all just a dream, maybe she is comatose and she'd eventually wake up and be able to hunt for her prey and not get stuck checking the groceries. Seriously, this better be a dream because how is a girl supposed to live on a diet with no insects?

And then a flicker of a familiar movement catches her eye.

... Lying Cat? [She scurries off next to the feline, unafraid. She might not have been in good terms with The Will, but Lying Cats always play by the rules.] Am I dreaming about you now?

[Lying Cat’s forehead wrinkles at the question, ears canting backward just slightly. Of course she isn’t a dream! She’s as real as The Stalk. Never mind that she’d been killed, or at least, that word had reached The Will that she’d been killed. Not only does she trust her sense of smell, Lying Cat knows.

Her ears twitch forward again as the lines across her forehead smooth out. They’ve been on opposite sides before, but she’d been there when The Will had heard the news. She’d watched a man who never flinched from death or violence break down and cry. She’d watched him move listlessly through the days, more dead himself than alive.

The Stalk is important to her partner. And for that alone, she moves closer and gently butts her head against one of her hands. A low, friendly Mmmrrr rumbles up out of her throat.

Wherever they are, they’ll find The Will again, and when they do, Lying Cat’s determined that she’ll bring the one he’s lost with her too.]

I guess that's a 'no'. [The Stalk isn't sure what she had been expecting. The cat hissing at her, maybe, or even turning away pretending not to have seen her. After all she wasn't The Will, and if the feline was wandering around alone without her master that meant she was probably looking for him...

But then she actually goes to her, butting her head to her side as if saying 'hey, you', and The Stalk isn't the one for sentimentalism but she does lower her guard a bit, allowing a smile as she lets one of her hands reach to pet her. Was she alone? Had she been kidnapped to this place as well?

So many questions, and none of the answer she gets makes sense to her anymore. She doesn't even know if they are in the same planet, in the same constellation, in the same fucking galaxy. But that's... not the question that's burning in the back of her head, the question that doesn't let her think about anything else. There's a lot they have to do if they were truly brought to a random lost, wild and not yet colonized planet, but first she has to know.

I died. [She simply says, waiting for the sidekick's reply.]
