TEST DRIVE MEME - TU SHANSHU EDITION!

Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:
  1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
  2. Tag around with everyone!
  3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
  4. Maybe even reserve so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!
But wait, there's more! For the low, low price of $9,999.99, you can even use one of our handy prompts when you tag someone. You could even pick one with a Random Number Generator to help decide which prompt to go with!
  1. A Chance Meeting at the Turtle's Head.
Remember, being here causes a great sense of-- well, shall we say inner peace.
  2. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtleshell!
  3. Have Met Before? Because I Could've Sworn I've Seen You In My Dreams.
Have you wandered into the realm of Dreaming via an archway in Keeliai? Here, everything is shaped to your character's individual mind. Dreams can be shared between characters and will result in a meshing of minds. These dreams can be positive or negative, depending on your character.
  4. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children, or even one of the newest editions to Keeliai's menagerie, an incredibly affectionate turtle the size of a minivan! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
  5. Shapeshifting Shenanigans
The native kedan are shapeshifters and it seems like something's gotten into the water supply, because you suddenly find yourself able to duplicate that particular skill! Whether you're any good at it or not remains to be seen...
  6. WILDCARD!
Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

[ There are many factors contributing to Namor's disgruntlement. Not only has he been unceremoniously from his home, he's been removed from his world, shoved in along a bunch of humans, and has been told - these fools have dared to order the king of Atlantis about like a common peasant - that he's supposed to fight someone else's war. All told, he is greatly displeased. He's also sick of seeing humans everywhere and, upon spying the appearance of someone clearly not human in the marketplace, he approaches. ]

You there.

[ This extraordinary politeness - for Namor, anyway - is largely because the individual looks vaguely like some of the denizens of Atlantis and Namor misses his people. ]

I require a moment of your time.

[Javik had stopped to inspect a vendor selling garments, mostly out of morbid curiosity than anything else. The armor he wore was all that he needed, and the concept of fashion was entirely alien to him. His intense scrutiny was starting to make the vendor nervous, and they were spared when Javik realized he was being addressed.

His eyes narrowed in suspicion, only turning his head enough to keep the man in his range of vision.]

What is it, human?

[ Namor requires no petty surface dweller vestments either. He is perfectly at ease and suitably attired, so he believes, in a fish scale bikini so tiny most men would be mortified to be seen on a beach in it, much less a marketplace.

The insult makes his eyes narrow and his spine straighten even more than it already is. ]

You speak to the king of Atlantis, not a human.

[ He says the word with all due disgust. Never mind that he looks pretty human, save the pointy ears and the wings as his ankles. When the universe revolves around someone the way Namor thinks it revolves around him, how anyone could mistake him is baffling. ]

From which world do you hail?

[That reaction got his attention - Javik turned around fully and gave him a more thorough once over. Despite the few oddities, he certainly looked human, but now he could sense the smell of him was all wrong. And where was his armor? The last time he'd seen such a scantily clad human it had been in one of those awful 'clubs' on the Citadel. He didn't look the least bit impressed at the title, nor was he apologetic for calling him human.

The question, however, made him hesitate. He'd spent most of his life living on warships, and the names he gave planets and star systems were lost on anyone but his own people.]

Not this one. My people traveled the stars. [He jerked his chin upwards at the sky. All these people, bound to one planet... even more primitive than his previous accommodations.]
