Hi Turtle dwellers! Here's Al (player of Supes andaway and Frank Zhang iguanasolution ) bringing my third (and hopefully last what the frag when I joined here I said I was only going to bring Clark) character, The human Torch!
.... No, not that one even though Johnny did pick his name in honor to him in the 616 universe. Jim Hammond's not a part of the fantastic 4 or anything. What do you mean you haven't heard about him, he was in Captain America and everything!
See? See? He's totally famous. Anyway, what to know about him? He's kind of an obscure hero from the Golden Age in the 40s, one of Marvel's first... well. Marvels. People with superpowers. But aha Jim is special in the fact that he isn't actually human in the most strict sense of the word, he's a syntezhoid. What does that mean? It means he's artificial, think something of an android. The flames surrounding his body are actually a fabrication flaw :( He's also Toro's kind-of-totally-his-father-but-also-little-brother because being an android means his aging is weird like that, and he's a bit emotionally stumped sometimes if he hasn't seen/processed a behavior or an emotion already.
Like Captain America he found him in the present a while ago so he's gotten used to technology and young'uns and shit, but that doesn't mean he doesn't carry some lingo with him. If you want to know more about him check his app!
