Itching to try out writing a character? Then rev up your engines, grab your accounts, and slam your way into this meme! Here is a venue for you to try out whatever character there might be tickling your fancy, from fandom to OC, for as few as one and as many as MANY. Seriously, there's no limit.

How do you partake in this fantastic congregation of character testing? Why, by following these simple steps:

1. Comment with the journal of a character you want to test; put their name and canon in the subject line for added sparkles.
2. Tag around with everyone!
3. Profit like you live on a the back of a turtle!
4. Maybe even reserve so you CAN live on the back of a turtle!

1. A Chance Meeting at the Turtle's Head.
   Remember, being here causes a great sense of-- well, shall we say inner peace.
2. Haggling Over Something in the Marketplace!
   Maybe someone else saw the exact same shiny thing you did at the exact same moment! However shall this be resolved? Remember: blood is extremely hard to scrub off of turtleshell!
3. Have Met Before? Because I Could've Sworn I've Seen You In My Dreams.
   Have you wandered into the realm of Dreaming via an archway in Keeliai? Here, everything is shaped to your character's individual mind. Dreams can be shared between characters and will result in a meshing of minds. These dreams can be positive or negative, depending on your character.
4. Dramatic Chase Sequence!
   You're running away from something! It could be anything, from a rampaging kirin to a gaggle of overly enthusiastic children, or even one of the newest editions to Keeliai's menagerie, an incredibly affectionate turtle the size of a minivan! One way or another, you can't stop, and much like a katamari ball, you feel obligated to grab everyone in your path along the way to keep them out of danger! Or perhaps you're more the sort to try and knock them into it as a distraction...?
5. Walking in a Winter Wonderland
   Tu Vishan's entered colder waters and snow now abounds all over the turtle. Are you out enjoying the cold? Maybe trying on some extra warm layers of clothing? Building a snow turtle for the kids to play with? Then this option's for you!
6. WILDCARD!
   Go nuts. Suddenly your character is fighting dragons! Good God, they've found the Millennium Falcon drifting in the ocean! Do you really feel the need to polish every paving stone in the Earth Sector? Please note, Wildcard options are also what you can choose to do if you aren't yet comfortable in the Tu Shanshu setting and would prefer a more 'dear-mun' esque experience. Please specify in your post!

Neal Caffrey | White Collar

3} [ Well. This was certainly- different. Neal had come across a spectacular arch in the city and was admiring the carvings in it, when something had activated and he found himself pulled in. At first, he was disoriented by a blinding light, but that quickly dropped away into a world of gray. When he looked about, he saw spires of gray, stretching to the sky like skyscrapers, wavering at the edges like flames. When he looked down, he found his clothing had changed to something out of a gangster movie - deep black.

All about, wandering the sidewalks of this surreal and dreamy Manhattan, wandered figures in similar clothing, but in various shades of white - some off, some brilliant like sun-on-snow. All of them were indistinct in their features. The only detail that mattered was that they were white hats, and he was a black hat.

Well. Message taken, universe. ]

What. On earth. Did you get yourself into now, Caffrey?

[ Alex was. So shocked that just seeing Neal meant, to her, that it had to be, somehow, his fault. Because when wasn't it? ]

[ The voice startled him. It felt like it'd been ages since he last saw her, and so much had happened that- well, when he looked to her, it might have looked like he was seeing a ghost. And in this place, who knew if that wasn't possible? ]

Not my usual kind of mess, now, is it?

[ Excuse you, Neal, she's fine. ]

That would depend. Does it rate more or less 'unusual' than explosive-rigged submarines?

oh my god a Neal /screams faintly.

[Willow, by contrast, is wearing a warm vanilla tone with a streak of sooty gray down her skirt. Since it's a dream, she's not entirely aware of where she is, and accepts her surroundings without a thought that it might be off.

That doesn't mean she doesn't notice Neal in the black hat compared to everyone else's, including hers. She definitely thinks of herself as a white hat, gray streak or no gray streak.

She wrinkles her nose at him.] You are looking mighty suspicious in that get up, I gotta say.

\o/ Heeey!

[ All of the staring about at the wandering white-hats and his very... sore-thumb situation has left Neal a little out of sorts. The voice aimed his way startles him some, but he quickly covers it up with a light smile as he looks in Willow's direction. He's new here, so maybe he can get away with feigned ignorance. ]

Well, black goes with everything. I just try to be prepared. [ To do whatever he has to in order to stay on top of the game, and so on.

But the streak of grey in Willow's outfit doesn't go unnoticed, so he slips his hands into his pockets and his smile sharpens just a little. ]

[guiltapalooza]

Uh-huh. [Her eyes narrow slightly at that look, but she's weak to a charming smile. Hey, she might be gay, but she's not dead, and this guy looking friendly at her goes a long way to softening her suspicion.]

What are we preparing for? [she asks doubtfully, looking down at herself.] I feel unprepared. Also weird. Why does no one else get the two tone look?

[ He tries to not react to that narrow-eyed look of what he imagines to be suspicion; he's far too familiar with it. This situation, though, has left him a little out of his element. Still, seeing as she doesn't push that any further, he lets himself relax, just a bit. ]

Hm. [ Neal starts walking about Willow, just casually looking over her outfit and its colors. Compared to everyone else, she's the most colorful one here. ]

Clothes like that, you might just be the leading lady, assuming this were a movie. You're not exactly Elizabeth Tayor- [ He pauses, once he's back to the spot he was at before. ]

An Audrey Hepburn, maybe?

[guiltapalooza]

[The scrutiny makes her a bit nervous, which isn't hard to read on her at all. She's about to be offended at the perceived insult before he follows it up with a compliment, and it takes her off guard enough to visibly flummox her.]

Me? Audrey Hepburn? Oh, no no. That's not me. I'm a... I don't know, but it probably shouldn't be anyone top billed. I'm the sidekick and I'm happy being the sidekick.

[That hasn't always been strictly true, as her clothes reveal, but Willow would very much like it to be.]
