Toph's not getting this whole Christmas thing, but hey, free presents and sweet things; she's so there. Not really sure what her plans are beyond that, yet, though . . . I'm open to suggestions!

I'm pretty sure she'll enjoy reciprocating on presents, though whatever they are, they'll be little things and not anything she'll make a lot of fuss over. Maybe something involving metalbending?

Oh, she's probably learned quite a lot? He's a bit too proper, yeah, but he also... appreciates good craftsmanship? So if something is masterfully made - be it a motion, an item, a dish - he'll appreciate it. I'm sure she'll be able to catch that, what with regular training.

But AHAHHAH a joke book. She can give one in Chinese and he'll still be able to read it.

Hmm. HMM. I've been pondering what Leo might get Toph for a while, and combined with something else I've been considering...

...how would Toph respond to her very own weapon to begin its incorporation into her blind martial arts training?

In other words, I think she'd like it. XD; A staff might be really appropriate, or something she can hide on her person?

Or if you have something else in mind, I doubt she'd have any problem finding it cool.

I was thinking escrima, in fact. Sure, it's just a little stick, but it's a little stick that's great for grappling and close range. Plus it relies more on the motion of combat than the wielder's body strength, making it an excellent choice for younger peoples. A pretty common Hung Gar weapon, iirc!

I mean, shell polish is so done.

Oh, right! Well, Leo is pretty easy to please - handmade decorative things like small sculptures/carvings would suit him wonderfully, as would plants, calligraphy materials, incense, or other boring such things. He also LOVES books and history/martial arts texts... though I imagine picking one out for him might prove difficult for her >.>

If all else fails, food is great too! Anything is a treat when you grow up living in the sewers.

And/or she could be mean and get him a joke gift. He might not appreciate it properly, but I'm 100% awesome with it.
