And, heh, this version of Bucky is movie only! (Movies, probably, in a couple of years.) Both Cap and Bucky are orphans who grow up together in Brooklyn since Bucky is 6 and Steve 10 (and Bucky is already bigger and helps protect Steve from getting beaten too much). The bigger/smaller changes when Steve becomes Captain America, thanks to Science! and then becomes an amazing Captain America, an actual symbol to be looked up to, because Steve!

... ahem. The movie is not that difficult to watch ;)

Then got into his father's part of the family and decided the world doesn't need ruling and he'd stick to not killing people, but he's still a brat.)
