Event | Landfall | Bresilyk | Harvest Haul Special Gifts

OOC Post | Approved Items | Special Gifts
Aihsohlow | Phorezton | Markutte | Countryside

Here are the results from the Harvest Haul special gifts sign-up, including details of the item that each character will be receiving from the highest officials in one of the three settlements. Feel free to pick which settlement they obtain these items from (out of the list of Aihsohlow, Phorezton, and Markutte) and keep in mind that these gifts are meant to be special, therefore regifting them to other parties while in Bresilyk would be strongly frowned upon by locals.

We had 32 characters submitted for items and a max of 20 to give out, so here are the results, including the numbers picked by the randomiser (from a list I generated out of the sign-ups). And the winning players/items are...

01 | Jonah Kinlock
A self-regenerating apple-like fruit that never rots and tastes different with each regeneration, though not always like a fruit. Once eaten to the core, the taste will abruptly turn bland to discourage consumption of said core (which would destroy the fruit) and the flesh will begin to regenerate at a rapid pace. The colours of the fruit's skin and flesh varies with each regeneration and the flavours vary from the delicious (sugary sweet delicacies) to the questionable (did that just taste like dirt?). The fruit goes by the name of Pomterrik and no one actually knows WHERE it came from...

03 | Armin Arlert
One small, ten page journal of data-storing sheets that can contain up to 10 megabytes of data per page, but is restricted to text-only content and operates on a diction-based system. This has an imperfect grasp of Earth languages, operating on a phonetic basis, therefore rarely getting the correct spelling. The cover of this journal is crafted out of Rhook paper, a stiff and pulpy paper made from the Rhook fungus mined in Phorezton.

04 | Gabriel
A three-century-old satchel with fraying leather clasps and a musty smell about it. The clasps will disintegrate if fiddled with and the satchel will appear to be empty. However, on nights when the moon is in a quarterly phase (new, quarter, half, three-quarter, full), the satchel appears brand new and is filled with fifteen single use spells contained in small glass balls. These spells are activated by grinding one's heel down on them and the casting provides the user with the ability to eavesdrop on any party that comes to mind for the next twelve minutes. Once broken, the spell is used and will not regenerate. Spell balls taken out of the satchel during the right moon phases will disappear the next morning, with unused ones returning to the satchel's storage. NOTE that these spells must only be used with player pre-approval, to ensure that no informational god-moding occurs.

08 | Shockwave
A thirteen-inch tall plush doll of the antlered creatures that wander the countryside. This doll has a metal skeletal structure and is robotic in nature, interacting with its owner when given basic commands. It can walk, sleep, and reacts to its perceptions of emotions via a limited AI system, providing reactions not unlike a cat's -- only, without the shedded fur. It has a high tech battery system that generates a charge via motion, providing it with a perpetual power source, though small in scale.

09 | Dick Grayson (Young Justice)
A 5"x7" crystal puzzle that contains a sweet sugary treat inside upon first solving and then can be used to store small valuables. The puzzle mechanics, however, change after every time it is solved, the crystalline structure transforming and taking on new forms in order to truly puzzle its owner. The complexity of the puzzle increases with each unravelling, providing hours of fun and frustration!

10 | Tony Stark (MCU)
A "build your own techventure" toy set from the popular toy line three Harvest Hauls prior. This is a highly collectible item in Markutte and was once all the rage. The actual set consists of seven circuit boards of various sizes, wire connectors, and a crystal display. The set was manufactured with the intent to be turned into a small monitor and supercomputer, but it is missing eighteen screws, a sodering iron, one circuit board, and the original instructions. The official that gives him this gift acts relatively sheepish and beats a hasty retreat before its missing items can be identified.

13 | Christopher Pike
A charred black cane with jade inlays and coated in a resin that prevents it from degenerating with use or age. The material is literally indestructible and it is unknown how it was even crafted, as legend states that it is thousands of years old. The silver grip of this cane conducts a slight electrical charge to its user that temporarily alleviates aches and pains. It was once used in physiotherapy exercises, in a culture long lost.

14 | Teddy Altman
A board bearing remarkable similarity to the Ouija boards of Earth with crystal lettering that lights up in the order of the letters being spelled up by the other contact. The alphabet is vaguely similar to English, with some unfamiliar letters. It is said that it can be used to contact those in Dreaming or Death, but only when used from Life. Those in such realms that are being contacted will see a similar board manifest before them in that realm and must select the letters for the words that they wish to spell out and convey their message.

15 | Sabriel
A seven inch tall ice sculpture of the White Wall that will never melt and never break, no matter how hard it is struck. This sculpture, however, shifts every hour and shows the progressive rise of the wall from the ocean, the installation of tiny watch towers when they were built, and a series of damages that appear to have been sustained during some form of assault. The rotation of the sculpture's forms takes thirty-six hours to complete before it resets.

17 | Monet St. Croix
Two crystal gauntlets that are impervious to damage and shine with the stars of the night sky. They were once used by a great sorcerer to place the constellations in the heavens, though no magic-user since has been able to recreate this effect. Under the darkness of a new moon, the wearer can gesture to skies and a series of twelve constellations that resemble twelve stages of a turtle's life will be highlighted to the bare eye. The eleventh one shows a turtle with a great city upon its back and the twelfth shows the suggestion of ruins and only a shell remaining, the great fins and head absent.

18 | Terry McGinnis
A large snow globe with what appears to be a scale replica of his Gotham City within it. There is a small keypad inlaid at the base that can be used to enter names and addresses, which causes the contents to reshape to that person or location as it appeared at the exact moment when he was summoned to Keeliai - be they friend or foe. When asked about its source, the official states that it was a contribution made by an eccentric woman at the Phorezton customs office and that she knows nothing more; all indicators show that this woman is being honest.

19 | Jason Todd
Three sheets of crystalline paper that stores data recorded into it. These are rare, ten terabyte sheets capable of recording text, audio, or video. The third has a special feature: It can be programmed much like a computer, adapting to the input language of the user and refining its own code to align with the purpose it perceives the user to desire.

21 | Eridan Ampora
A gameboard with Rhook-carved figures that appears similar to chess, though the figures are cut to resemble little turtles and the board itself is made out of a substance that glows like Tu Vishan's shell. These figures have small chips and speakers built into them that release tiny screams of agony whenever a piece is captured or otherwise put out of commission during a game. It comes with a rule book that outlines a unique take on the strategy game, with the point being to lose all of one's playing pieces first by manoeuvring the opponent into must-kill scenarios.

22 | Frank Zhang
One set of leggings that are made of a fine fishnet knit. While they appear to be virtually useless on their own, allowing knives to penetrate the netting if tested outside of wearing, they turn a bright white when worn and the thin cords regenerate before creating a network of interlinked shields which deflect knives and projectiles. They also do an excellent job of hiding unsightly leg hair, as an added bonus.

23 | Hal Jordan (Comics)
Three appliances that generate their own power and are guaranteed to work for at least three months before their warranties expire (at which point it goes to the luck of the draw). The first is a curling iron that provides a beautiful sheen to any hair curled with it. The second is a clothing iron that self-starches any apparel that it is used to iron the wrinkles out of. The third is a hair dryer that can be loaded with heat-activated glitter that will cling to the hair until the next time it is washed. It comes with a one month supply of the glitter.

24 | Rapunzel
Three gallons of paint that is white in the pail, but will change colours according to the mood of the artist that is using it. There is no limit to the colours that it can assume, including a whole variety of shimmering gradients that respond well to broad strokes made with the set of seven paintbrushes that come with the point. The paint, however, cannot be washed off of any surface that it is applied to, be it canvas or skin, and so she will be advised to be careful about spillage.

25 | Spock
One oversized gift basket filled with stuffed animals and sweet snacks made from the recent harvest, from candied fish to dried fruit peelings that have been shaved to use as a topping to cold cream. Each stuffed toy contains a zippered pocket in which individual pieces of an known whole can be found. The pieces, if discovered, can be puzzled together to form a three dimensional crystal model globe of Konryu as it stood three hundred thousand years ago. Many of the continents outlined match the coastlines seen in various landfalls, though there are two small continents that no longer exist in the stationary terms -- these are labelled Asti and Sinbrilee.

29 | Gene Khan
A rusted iron oil lamp that has not seen use for at least thirty years. It was salvaged from the ocean's floor and offered as a contribution to the Harvest Haul due to its age and the beautiful (if tarnished) silver inlays visible under the rust and barnacles. A party that cleans off the barnacles and shines it back to perfection may notice that there is a source of oil in the lamp. Lighting the lamp will provide... light! As well, a curl of smoke will rise from the flame and shape into a small genie that will offer the user one wish per week, with the restriction being that the wish must not involve travel, death, love, creation of physical things, or lottery numbers. And please don't tell her that her powers suck, or she won't manifest next time. However, the wishes that she CAN grant relate to providing insights into marketing strategies or providing the user temporary weapons formed of smoke that will last as long as the oil in the lamp does. Once it burns out (it lasts roughly two hours each time), the weapons will dissipate and must be wished anew the next week.

30 | Mark Grayson
One brass compass the size of his palm that does not point to magnetic north, but instead to sources of magic. The point of the compass is drawn to the largest source of magic within 100kms, though it will reorient if it comes within range on an even larger source. While on the continent, it will invariably point towards Tu Vishan. While in Keeliai, it will spin about erratically as it searches out the strongest source of magic in the turtle itself. This is a result of it attempting to calibrate to the strong presence of magic on and in Asti and it will stabilise within a month to be a feasible, on-turtle tool.

32 | The Archive
Six rubber duck bath toys which animate when they come in contact with water and will hold basic, but lively discussions with their owner. They are green, purple, orange, brown, red, and blue in colour (and, coincidentally, temporary name). They cry when bath time is over and are always eager to hear about how their owner's day went. Each duck has a different personality and will beg to be given real names the longer that they stay with one owner.
