Aside from being surprised that Tarrlok somehow became head of the school (she has no idea who was in charge of making that decision) Korra's glad that Tarrlok's actually leaving his suite and doing something. Even it means he’s in charge of kids (who she’s pretty protective about in general, more so since her airbending bitties aren’t here for her to goof around with), and she’s hoping that someone’s keeping an eye on him just in case.

Because bloodbenders, amirite?

But yeah, him actually not dwelling on what's happened is a good thing and she's glad of that. Washing your hair is a good thing. When Amon was gone, she assumed that might have been the reason for him doing so and now that he's back, she's ready to facepalm if he goes back to full recluse.
