Shepard: WOW this is awkward. You are like Jim, but if Jim was more mature, had more experience under his belt, and was a woman. This totally puts McCoy in that awkward position of keeping business and pleasure separate! But enough about his crush all over Shepard. More importantly, he respects her commanding presence, her experience, and her willingness to work with others despite them being from different worlds.

He appreciates the efforts she is going to to build up defenses and medical care for both the kedan and the Foreigners stuck on this godforsaken turtle. So far, her ideas and those of Starfleet have not clashed, and he prays they never will. If they do, he will be sad to lose an ally, but he has a duty to his Captain and Starfleet first and foremost. Just make sure you gives him your number so he can put the moves one you AFTER all is said and done, okay?
