He really respects her. He doesn't know a whole lot about the Black Widow from his universe, except that she's dead. But the fact that she's willing to teach him means a helluva lot. He wants to work his hardest to impress her, or even just satisfy her. He's used to strong women in his life, between his mom and Spider-Woman, so he has no compunctions about being taught by a woman. He knows she knows more than him, so he is trying as hard as he can to be open to her instruction.
