I love their CR too, mainly because they are both such dorks. But this is about Mark, and not about me, so... Mark likes Korra. A lot. He thinks she's a really great person, and he enjoys spending time with her. Every time he sees her he's not sure exactly what he's going to get, but he knows he's going to enjoy himself. He feels at ease around Korra. He also admires how outgoing she is and how she seems to know everything about what's going on on the turtle. While he's certainly friendly, he's not nearly that level of outgoing and he's kind of envious of it.
He also feels super guilty about lying to her about being Invincible (but thanks to him majorly screwing up, this won't be under wraps for much longer). He knows why he has to keep his identity a secret, at least in theory, but the longer he's spending on the turtle the more pointless he's beginning to think the whole thing is. At the same time, though, he knows Korra's temper and he doesn't want her to hate him for hiding something this huge from her, so that compels him to stay quiet more than his need to keep his ID safe at this point. He'll feel even worse when she finds out, though.
