Shepard just really has a thing for grouches with hearts of gold okay??? I think she feels a connection to all the Star Trek folks she's talked with because there are so many similarities between their worlds, they're like almost the next best thing to actually having people she knows around, because they at least understand the basics of TECHNOLOGY and SPACE TRAVEL even if there are some differences.

And yeah McCoy just is so down-to-earth, Shepard really appreciates his candor. Also he is just a nice man!!! She wishes Doctor Chakwas were on the turtle so they could meet because she knows they'd be great friends. And that's probably the highest compliment of all, haha.


BOOKER despite all the yelling and complaining appreciates that McCoy helped him out, no questions asked, no payment necessary. He's not used to people just being good for its own sake, just helping other people because it's the right thing to do, so that was surprising? And confusing?

But he'd send Elizabeth to McCoy if she needed medical attention, and that's the highest compliment he can give, so THERE YOU GO.
