In terms of personality and general outlook, Bianca is honestly not that different from Kyle's own mother. He's projecting a lot because Moira passed away and he has a crap ton of Totally Not Dealing because a single mother with an only son meant that the support system was incredibly deep and strong. He also thought would always be there is gone and he feels extremely lost now that Dinah, his usual mother-figure, is off-turtle. So he's just kind of... clinging to her like a wee glowing green barnacle.
(It doesn't help that Jaime's basically mini-Kyle.)
