break out the teal deers!

THE CR TL;DR MEME
HOW IT WORKS:
1. List your character(s)!
2. Others respond with "what does your character X think of my character Y?" or some variation.
3. Respond to them! Break out those teal deers!
4. Generate some discussion about your CR!
5. PROFIT!

Consequently, Jaime strikes Barnaby as pretty young and naive, guided more by lofty personal ideals, rather than the reality of a given situation.
On the other hand, Barnaby recognizes that they come from two very different places. Maybe it just wasn't necessary for mutants to need an image overhaul in Jaime's world, which would mean no Hero industry. Barnaby also wonders if this "pro bono" attitude is widespread where Jaime comes from, or if it's just a result of his age. Whatever the case may be, Barnaby knows he probably doesn't have the whole picture, so he doesn't actively dislike Jaime or anything like that (although, it actually takes a lot for Barnaby to actively dislike anyone, since his default mode is "detached indifference"). Plus, Jaime seemed willing to at least hear him out on the logic behind the Hero industry, which is never a bad thing in Barnaby's book.
Also, he may have caught wind that Jaime tried to help Kotetsu out of his suit, in which case Barnaby would want to check to see how much of an ass Kotetsu made of himself while Jaime dealt with him, and handle any damage control, hahah.
I THINK THAT'S ALL...
