break out the teal deers!

THE CR TL;DR MEME

HOW IT WORKS:

1. List your character(s)!
2. Others respond with "what does your character X think of my character Y?" or some variation.
3. Respond to them! Break out those teal deers!
4. Generate some discussion about your CR!
5. PROFIT!

Mark ➔ Kyle
Mark really likes Kyle. Back home, he was so busy being Invincible he sacrificed a lot of (well, pretty much all) of his friendships to do the save the day thing. His non-superhero friends he never had time for because he was saving the world, and he was never really close to his fellow superheroes. So being able to have friends on the turtle is really special to him.

He's just... really glad to have friends he can actually spend time with here, and he whenever he talks to Kyle he knows he's going to have a good time. Mark feels like he can let his guard down around Kyle, and he likes the banter they have going. I'd like to see Mark opening up to Kyle a bit more, maybe reveal his secret ID to him.

Kaine ➔ Kyle
Kaine finds himself at ease talking to Kyle, and he really doesn't know why. I think a lot of it has to do with Kyle being good at deflecting all of his moody grimdark bullshit whenever Kaine tries throwing it at him, and so Kyle reminds them him a bit of his friends back home. It might also be that his friends back home have chilled him out a bit (okay a lot) and taught him how to talk to people, and he hasn't quite realized this yet, so it's coming as a surprise to him that hey, he can have normal conversations now.

Kaine's at a point in his development now where the idea of potentially befriending someone doesn't actually scare the crap out of him (...as much as it used to), so I can see him continuing to talk to Kyle, and probably seeking him out for superhero advice whenever he doesn't want to go to the teenaged Spider brigade, especially since it seems to him like Kyle isn't going to judge him.

And I hope that talking to Kyle can maybe keep reminding Kaine that he's actually a good guy now, since he no longer has his friends to fill that roll.
