break out the teal deers!

THE CR TL;DR MEME

HOW IT WORKS:

1. List your character(s)!
2. Others respond with "what does your character X think of my character Y?" or some variation.
3. Respond to them! Break out those teal deers!
4. Generate some discussion about your CR!
5. PROFIT!

In some ways, Bianca is really particularly concerned about Gene more than many of the other kids here, even though there are plenty here that are much younger than he is.

His introduction on the network and his first thread with her really established that first and foremost, that he really is a hurt kid inside. The amount of damage he caused to his suite when he first showed up was visible even on the network, and how bitter and angry- even if the anger was mostly under the surface by that point- he was was honestly concerning.

Even with the sort of fright and confusion that has to with suddenly appearing on a giant turtle, the sort of thing that everyone deals with differently, reacting to it in a fit of rage before showing up on the network, and being so disaffected by the world and giving up on it when he's so young, these are the sort of things that are alarm bells for her. She's no counselor or social worker by any means, but she has children and younger extended family members to be aware what sort of behavior is normal, and has seen enough real problematic stuff while working shifts in the emergency room to know something's wrong, even if she's not going to directly ask him about it.

With Gene and Loki ending up as antagonistic friends, it's something that gives her a bit of relief- she's seen that both of them have trust issues, so the fact that they're developing some kind of bond is something she approves of.

While she has no problem with marching right up to Loki and demanding he come home with her, she's aware that that same tactic probably won't work quite as well with Gene- the level of angry he has under the surface makes things work differently. Just forcing help onto him probably won't help, so all she can really do is talk to him, defend him when she sees he needs it, and make it apparent that she's willing to be there for him without scaring him off into being defensive.
