Dick: Kon is actually really happy that Dick is here. Even if they're just talking about their hair, it feels good to just talk to someone who hasn't been super close to him, like Tim and Bart. He always feels easy around him and he thinks Dick could be the kind of person he could go to with problems, but he wouldn't because he'd feel like it was a massive burden or he was getting in the way. Besides, he thinks Dick has the Bats that'd do that ~~if they ever open up to each other~~ and that he himself if doing it with too many people. But the fact that he feels like he could means that he's really trusting. Also the guy is just cool as and is/was Nightwing! Who wouldn't think he was cool?! Basically, he loves their talks even if they're stupid and btw Kon's hair is better.

Billy: Kurt actually thinks it's amusing and while he doesn't really know Billy, he can tell that superheroes? Totally his thing. He'd also like to get to know him more, he comes across as a bright person and his whole magic deal? He's interested. More because it's kind of unusual and who doesn't like magic? ~~when it's not being used against you.~~

Jack on Kon

Kon is super glad that Bart is here on the turtle. Finally someone more on his level when it comes to having fun and goofing off! Also the racing part is always the best. He likes that there's always someone he can talk to that's his age that'll just...get it? Nita is badass, Tim is a stick in the mud and everyone else is pretty much too old? He said some stuff earlier (about the being someone else thing) and Bart's reaction still really hurts when he thinks about it cause he doesn't want to upset his friends and that's what Bart is. He feels like he has a much better relationship with him now than he does back home and he's determined that if he remembers things when he's back, he's gonna work on being a better friend.

He's also glad that Bart told him about how he (and they) died since no one else has mentioned it to him. Bad news, but it helped Kon to look back and realise people were probably reacting the way they were, because of when they were from.

Basically in a nutshell, Kon thinks that Bart is one of his closest and best friends on the turtle and he's actually never been happier (on the same levels as when he spoke to Asami) and he's totally got Bart's back.

Everything is just easier with Bart and he likes that. Likes that they can laugh and joke and know when it's serious...and also when an inappropriate joke can be slipped in to lighten things up. Again there's the whole, getting each other thing. (Like you mentioned with the similarities.)

He's definitely not expecting her to blush. Even if she did, and he noticed, he'd probably tease her a little about it. Because yeah. He's allowed, sort of, in a way, kind of, semi sort of. BUCKY thinks Tony is pretty great honestly. It meant a lot to him that Tony has been around and provides him distractions when he needs them and doesn't pry or make him talk about feelings when he wants to. And that whatever he knows about Bucky, he's not tossing out on the network and stuff. He thinks he's a pretty good friend, and he's one of the few "future" people he's met so far that he approves of. Tony never leave he would be really sad okay ;w;

ARTHUR appreciates that he makes an effort to care and all that. He's not entirely sure what to think about him because at this point Tony knows more about Arthur than the other way around, but he trusts him at least as much as he trusts most other surfacers he considers friends. He's not exactly the kind to be best buds with anybody (his son is his best bud forever and then he just kind of hangs out with the rest of the League) but if he were, Tony could probably worm his way to that level. He likes him and that he's not a dumbass like most of his teammates (even the ones he likes whoops). ~~Still joining the Avengers~~.

BARRY YOU BETTER COME VISIT SOMETIME. Barry was kind of his first surface friend because lol he was the one who dragged him into land shit way back when so he's got a weird fondness for Barry. His favorite Flash okay. Come get drinks with him like right now bro.

KAL is kind of his go-to-bro around here just because they've actually managed to get somewhat closer than Arthur is to most of the League and etc. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I HAVEN'T ALREADY SAID I love them and it's so nice that they can actually connect on a more casual level without all the obligations and responsibilities because Kal has to be Superman and Arthur has to be King of Atlantis and blah blah. It's like for once their goals and shit align pretty well and so they can spend some free time just hanging out. I think they both understand each other on a deeper level than most others because they're both used to immense pressures with the Superman and King of Atlantis things. They're like, both responsible for protecting large, large portions of the planet and etc so they kind of get each other in that way.

FRANK he thinks is a pretty cool kid. He likes how he's determined and responsible and not afraid to make his own decisions and try to do things even if he might fail. He really respects that, because he's always kind of tried to teach his own kids to be that way. Arthur has a huge soft spot for kids and teenagers, especially ones that don't like, fit in with the world at large, which demigods kind of falls into because they're not like everyone else. He kind of wants to keep an eye on Frank and give him someone he can go to if he needs it, because he's not sure what other adults are in his life and etc. The protectiveness is probably higher than it was now because of the whole mute thing, since Arthur is one of the few people he can actually talk to, and he wants to be there and help him ;w;

He doesn't have a whole lot of thoughts because they don't really interact much in the comics if at all, but Dick is probably the batkid he can stand the most, tbh. He doesn't put forth the 'call me if you need anything' offer for just any of them because lol he and Bruce don't exactly get along half the time. Dick is okay though because Dick was Garth's friend and Garth is like the center of Arthur's universe along with Mera. So he gets an okay stamp by association.

HAL YOU'RE REALLY ANNOYING AND KIND OF DUMB AND ALSO A LITTLE BIT RACIST? But you're a Leaguer and he'll mostly stand you unless you keep dumping trash in his canals. :V BUT NO he's pretty okay with Hal or everyone would know he wasn't since he's not exactly subtle (subtlety is not for underwater kings). He likes Ollie better but Hal will have to do. Most of the old Leaguers he has more of a fondness for in a weird "I'm not going to visit you" sort of way. :'D

AND EXACTLY ONE WEEK LATER

I know that thing that waid wrote had them pretty confused on why exactly they were friends but I thought it was pretty straight forward. they have similar values, they just have very differing personalities and honestly he used to be written like barry, hal used to be just as square.

barry is basically hal's rock. he's the one stable thing in his life. this person he knows will always be there and has his personal life together. hal could go off to space for a year and see some really weird things but barry helps keep things in perspective.

...and then he died and hal wasn't even on earth at the time. oops

he got elevated a bit after he died since everyone treats ollie as the inferior hal's best friend. it's kind of weird how hal and barry's friendship is always compared directly with hal and ollie's so I can't not touch on that I guess. it's kind of like seeing two childhood friends and they're both wholesome boys until one of them starts to fall into the wrong crowd and he thinks he can have the best of both worlds.

and while hal doesn't want to anger ollie, he doesn't want to disappoint barry. ignore the fact that he's doing that at his canon point that was for the good of the universe... he feels terrible about it, guilt should cover it.
