This is Arnold Judas Rimmer, SSc, BSc, from the BBC cult sitcom Red Dwarf. If you've never seen it, or heard of it, it's basically everything ridiculous about Sci-Fi crammed into one low-budget show. It features people evolved from cats, humanity being extinct three million years in the future, smegging ridiculous future slang, literal Rule 63 alternate universe counterparts, m-preg as canon YES REALLY, and penguin puppets that are very cross.

It's available to stream on Netflix instant if you have it, and there's only 6-8 eps per series. So check it out maybe?

Rimmer is taken just post Series VI, when he performs the most heroic act of his weaselly little life. I'll be posting his IC intro probably this next couple of days when I'm not swamped with IRL stuff happening.

It's funny to me that I either get that reaction or I get "What the hell is Red Dwarf?"

Red Dwarf was such a huge part of my childhood, it's almost hard for me to believe people don't know what it is. Anyone who doesn't has led a sad, sad existence.
