So can you explain to me the importance of flowers in more detail?? I kinda picked up in their one thread, but OOC commentary doesn't hurt.

Flowers are a kind of recurring theme in Tales of Graces! Sophie is found in a field of flowers that always bloom, the entire goddamn cast likes flowers, Lhant is know for the flowers, Asbel's dad grew all the flowers at Lhant manor and kept a book of them pressed and detailed, etc.

The particular flowers that cause the blossomgale, Sopherias, are what Asbel named Sophie after! Sophie also takes to planting flowers, and if you're diligent about it you can trigger an actual blossomgale event in-game, although it doesn't cover what happen. The flowers growing everywhere is actually from one of the Drama CDs, wherein they go around to find out the effects of them and shenanigans ensue.

Specifically, though, Asbel likes the flowers because they remind him of home and his friends! And also he thinks flowers are pretty and everyone should like them??
