Tl;dr Mega Meme Bonanza

THE TL;DR MEGA MEME BONANZA

Comment with a list of your characters, receive questions, or just tl;dr on your own unprompted! Here's some suggestions.

◘ What does your character think of mine?
◘ What goes on during our handwaved CR? How much handwaved CR do we have?
◘ Canon information, for those unfamiliar with your canon.
◘ All sorts of headcanon questions-- sleeping positions, childhoods, past sexual or romantic history, etc.
◘ Would your character date mine?
◘ If they were put under a truth spell, what would come out?
◘ Where do you want to go with your character, story arc wise?
◘ Give an example of their daily routine in Keeliai.
◘ Who do they miss most from home? Would they go back if they could?
◘ What kind of music do you listen to while tagging? What does your character listen to ICly?
◘ Elaborate on what you've been working on improving in your writing style lately.
◘ What would their daemon spirit animal be, as from His Dark Materials?
◘ What have been your favorite threads with me?
◘ What do their dragons look like in Flight Rising?

And much, much more! Go wild! I recommend making a plain top level comment with just your list of characters, and replying to yourself to fill out things on your own.

Does Arthur have any opinion of Scott other than 'racist towards fish people'?
Also what is his favorite surface food?

LOL that was his initial reaction but he honestly doesn't expect surfacers to really "get" anything relating to underwater races so it's more a mild passing annoyance than anything that he carries into later interactions. Holding a grudge over people just not knowing things is pretty dumb, he figures. Of course if he kept going on about fish people he'd probably side-eye a little because "bro I told you that's racist" but eh. So he thinks Scott's alright, for a surfacer, but he hasn't formed a very strong opinion.

And his favorite surface food is hot dogs. Hands down. He fucking loves hot dogs.

....I actually would not have guessed hot dogs. WHY HOT DOGS?

I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW it's actually apparently canon. :'D I know there's a panel in the Peter David era (in which he was raised by dolphins, long story, it was essentially Ocean Tarzan) where he goes to the surface for the first time and has no idea what money is and just helps himself at a hot dog cart and strolls off casually.

What are three ways Bucky might have fantasized about getting rid of Sharon?

Murder isn't really something he fantasizes about. He's seen way too much of it and done way too much of it, which I think a lot of people forget. He has really bad anger issues, obviously, because the urge to put a bullet in her was there when she pretty callously dragged his past and one of his most precious secrets out in the open like that (He rarely, if ever, talked about Gretchen, and never to anyone but Steve and possibly Toro, because he didn't want anyone overhearing her name and endangering her more than she already was - which is the mindset he's still trapped in, because it's still 1945 for him.) but after the surge of rage died down he was obviously thinking more clearly and was more in control of himself. He shoved himself into busy work to take his mind off it because as much as he hates her, it's still hard for him to live with killing people as he's done since he was just sixteen. It was his job as a soldier and an advance scout and the one who got his hands dirty so Steve wouldn't have to, but the guilt doesn't go away, the nightmares don't go away, and he just doesn't think enough of her, even negatively, to put more of it on his conscience.

Maybe he'll figure out a way to send her home and then he won't have to deal with her anymore.

Poor Bucky.

Arthur: Thoughts and feelings about the younger Diana?
Bucky: Thoughts on magic!
relentlesstide: (back / neutral)

[personal profile] relentlesstide 2013-09-02 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
ARTHUR'S THOUGHTS ON BB!DIANA: I think it's honestly impossible for him to dislike any version of her that isn't like. Radically not Diana. And since younger Diana still just feels like Diana, he's pretty much accepted her presence totally and still considers her one of his closest friends and one of the few Leaguers, on the turtle at least, that he actually likes. He just sort of... tolerates... some of them, but he feels like he and Diana actually understand each other better because neither of them are really from the human world and neither of them deal with the same kind of 'dual identity' that like Bruce/Batman and Clark/Superman have. They're just Arthur and Diana who are Aquaman and Wonder Woman, but they're both between two worlds and two peoples and determined to protect both. It... also helps that he has a huge silly schoolboy crush on DCU Diana... but not much of that really carried over to littler Diana. xD It would seem wrong since he's much farther along in his life and she's more like when they first met as teenagers. Basically, she's not his Diana, but she's still very Diana, and he still loves her as a friend and trusts her probably more than he trusts anyone else from home besides Kaldur and his wife.

BUCKY'S THOUGHTS ON MAGIC: He can't really deny that it exists, but he's kind of mistrustful of it in general. The magical and supernatural world is pretty scary and new since it's Marvel 1945 for him and he's right at the threshold peering into it as one of the first, so to speak. He also doesn't really like things he doesn't understand and can't readily fight because lol they don't teach you how to maul wizards in the Army, but he can warm up to it when it's performed by someone he's not immediately distrustful of. Like he was pretty impressed and grateful when Traci took care of his broken ribs, but he already liked her, otherwise he probably wouldn't have let her near him :'D

So what is Arthur's assessment of the tribble-tossing guy with the really loud suit that invades his dreams? :D Does he think differently of these other-universe heroes thanks to Tony's "great" impression?

And what would little Bucky do if he found out their history and about some of the stuff Tony did? They get along so well now. ;;

ignore that this is entirely the wrong account

Arthur is not entirely sure what to make of Tony sometimes. :|a He seems smart, but then he also seems kind of derp sometimes, and then he seems like he'd be the irresponsible type but he's actually trying to get shit together more than most of the other superheroes. It's enough contradiction to keep Arthur vaguely interested in seeing where he goes, and he's pretty willing to work with him on turtle saving business (since none of his own teammates are doing any banding together at the moment, or if they are they're not including him like usual). Having him stumble into his dream was kind of embarrassing in that "I refuse to actually be embarrassed about my own subconscious desires" sort of way but it was still kind of uncomfortable for him to see that side of Arthur when so few people outside of Atlantis ever did. Still, it wasn't an unpleasant experience either, so he's not entirely sure what to think there. And Tony actually did make a fairly good impression for the rest of his Marvel comrades! Arthur's kind of annoyed at the League's splinteredness/inaction (and at Batman and his ilk's superiority complexes in general) that Tony rallying his troops and them actually responding is a nice thing to see.

OH GEEZ Bucky would probably violently reject the thought of it at this point. He likes Tony, he feels kind of grateful to Tony, he trusts him more than he trusts almost everyone else who's said "I know you in the future", it'd be kind of a hard blow to hear about some of that stuff. And if anyone told him that he tries to kill Tony in the future? He'd be confused and probably pissed at himself and wondering what the hell is wrong with himself and then work twice as hard to change that. Tony is someone he actually feels like he can go to, even if it's just to get some busywork to do in silence when he's upset, and with Steve having left the way he did and all the damage Sharon did to his mental state, I don't think he'd want to let go of that so easily. Actions speak louder than words and so far Tony's actions have shown that he's not a bad guy and probably not a bad friend to Steve (and not a bad friend to Bucky himself here on the turtle), and that means a lot.
