tbh I don't think she'd actually loathe the date once she actually went on one, but her priorities are such that getting her to agree to one is as impossible as successfully herding cats. she just doesn't see it as important and would rather be doing any number of things instead.

and she doesn't like the potential for possible emotional intimacy, especially after finding out that the kyle here wasn't on the same timeline page as her.
