We are entering the final phase of the Malicant plot today and I am here to make an announcement!
"Power Surge" Devices
One of the independent investigations undertaken by characters not on a team has resulted in a technological development relevant to the current situation faced by the Foreigners. Using spectre technology, Bruce Banner and his team of magical sparkling scientists have come up with small devices that provide the user with a thirty second return of powers that requires a five minute recharge between uses.
What does this mean to you? Well!
Two such devices will be delivered to each of the fifteen teams in the field. Those that are working far in said field will be provided their devices by on of the faster characters on the turtle who is, in turn, powered by their own surge device to give them the speed they need to get there and back as soon as possible. This, in effect, will permit them to have brief access to their powers (as applicable) or a brief restoration of any technology they are carrying.
As stated, each device is good for a thirty-second burst at a time and then must recharge for at least five minutes before it can be used again. This is only a temporary surge and it works by reversing the standard energy flow from Tu Vishan into the Foreigners, instead sending it from the Foreigners using the devices into Tu Vishan. Consider it like a static shock.
These devices will become available to the teams as their receive their final clue sets, the first batch of which will be released today. Notes will be included with the clue sets that discusses this and refers back to this post.
Given that there are a limited number of devices, only the fifteen teams will be given any at this time -- this is to maximise the effectiveness against Malicant in the hopes of returning health to Tu Vishan and alleviating the problem completely.
These devices will be collected by Evandau, Xi, and Hei To at the conclusion of this plot -- but please note, they may return in future plots!
